Thank Goodness this is in the free plus catalog. The story is similar to so many others, escort and client fall in love. The narration is hit and miss and at times the two MC sounded like they had a child like thing going on (not the strong sultry thing going on).
I do like it when we get a HEA so for free it's worth a go. I have never bought a MT audiobook because 'she' uses poor narrators usually and this should be addressed by her or her publisher ?

I absolutely loved reading this book and have just enjoyed listening to it as well I highly recommend this to anyone who's a romantic at heart story line the characters fantastic I'll never get tired reading or listening to it again finding my self hoping sam and luciana will find their way fall in love , and make it work ..Thanks to Melissa Tereze for writing this and the brilliant job done by cat Gould narrating it sexy voice ....loved it please please bring the PART two of this story the call to audible I'll have that to ...can't wait

lots of angst to this one, death of partner, age-gap, escort, abusive ex.
difficult to say I enjoyed but it is well written and true to life
cat gould hides her aus twang, mostly, and delivers a fine performance.

Narrators voice did not suit the characters...
Story good at some places and not so good at other places..
Ended abruptly, needed a bit more there.
Why does this author always write about women that are indecisive and neurotic... It is exhausting and quite frankly boring. She needs a new storyline, they all the same.
We want to read about strong independent women.

This could have been a much better listen. The narrator, whilst not terrible, didn’t link the characters together in a cohesive way. It sometimes felt as if she had been handed the story sentence by sentence, as if she didn’t know where the story was going. I think I’ve been spoilt by narrators like Abby Craden who put so much emotion into their storytelling. I’m sure there must be British narrators out there who don’t sound so stilted, but I haven’t come across one yet. The story itself was okay even if it ended quite abruptly.

I don't know where to begin with this. Is it the Australian accent that completely prevents any sense of immersion in a story that purports to be set in Liverpool - though I have to wonder if this author has ever been to the UK - let alone to Liverpool - so many terrible, non-British references. Still I suppose at least she's not American. Or maybe it's the clumsy story telling that's both far-fetched and at the same time underdeveloped and shallow - complete with appalling misrepresentation of the BDSM lifestyle? Maybe it's the shallow, two dimensional characters? Or is it clunky, robotic dialogue that leaves you cringeing?

I really wanted to like this - as someone who lost a wife and had to rebuild my life - I thought it would be interesting to have a character I empathise with and yet no - there is nothing here. Listened to all of it though god knows why.
