Story
When Michelle Thomas suffered her first major depressive episode six years ago, she read and watched and listened to everything about mental health she could get her hands on in an effort to fix herself. God, it was tedious. And, quite frankly, depressing. Which is the last thing she needed. What she did need was a therapist who would listen and offer a wellness strategy catered to her specific needs. What she got was advice to watch a few YouTube videos and a cheerful reminder that 'it could be worse'.

Story
When the narrator of Swann's Way dips a petite madeleine into hot tea, the act transports him to his childhood in the French town of Combray. Out of his Pandora's box of reflections comes a memory of an old family friend, Swann - a man who was long ago undone by romantic desire and cruel reality. In this reverie lie the insights the author seeks about his own life and ageless truths about the ephemeral nature of emotions, places, and, ultimately, love.

First published in 1910, Howards End is considered by many to be Forster's greatest novel. Set at the beginning of the 20th century it follows the fortunes and interrelations between three family groups of differing backgrounds and outlooks. At the top of the money tree are the Wilcoxes who represent broadly materialism and an upper-class English archetype. The family has made money in the colonies and also have a property - Howards End - owned by the terminally-ill mother, Ruth Wilcox, who must decide how best to pass on the estate.

Just sound
I got this in a sale thinking it would have a little more to it, but it really is just a load of sounds. The first one is 7 minutes of gongs. Fair enough if this works for you, but it's not for me. I was looking for something that provided some structured meditation and insight.

Listened, slept, job done
Had some real trouble sleeping lately,
Tried the sleep chapter and it worked, Couple of minutes of talking, a minute or two of wind chimes, then some ‘noise’ that I can’t quite describe. I’m not sure what happens next because I’m asleep.
I set audible to sleep at end of chapter, and next even reached the middle of the chapter, which is about 45minutes.
The price of a good night’s sleep is worth a hundred times what I paid for this (daily deal), so for this sleep section alone it gets a total 5 star rating from me.

Something a bit different
- This is not a fully guided meditation -
It is about Sound Meditation, as the title says.(Not sure why people are reviewing this as if it is a guided meditation, lol)
Anyway, this was quite hard for me to get used to at first, it is unusual - but please persevere if you feel the same.
My most used chapter, is the "Sleep" meditation. It sounds a bit odd, almost sinister - like the incidental music in a creepy film scene. But for some reason it works!
I cannot explain it better than this, and I'm sure some would disagree; but as someone who has trouble getting over to sleep, this has been a godsend.
I still don't understand why, though :-)

Affordable and accessible sound baths
I got this when it was on offer so considering the convenience of a sound bath in your own home it is incredible value for the price. I don’t like all of the offerings and prefer the ones without the vocals, but that is a minor complaint. I have returned numerous times to the sound bath for sleep. I don’t have sleep problems but it is a great way to let the day go and wind down for sleep.

Annoying
Honestly wish I could recommend this for meditation but I just found it irritating. This just jarred and annoyed me. I really don't think I can even try to give it a chance to grow on me because of the depth of the negativity it left me feeling. It just makes me feel desolate like drifting in space in an abandoned spacecraft. If that's what floats your meditation boat ...enjoy.
