Great re-telling of a classic
This story was unique, I have never read anything quite like it.It was the re-telling of a classic with alot of adult themes thrown in. The narrator was new to me but I enjoyed his voice greatly.

Great Twist on Hades and Persephone
Super hot twist on the greek mythological story of Hades and Persephone. The author's writing and style is absolutely excellent, this is the first book I've listened to by this author and I am incredibly impressed. We get attached to the characters, I could feel Persephone's emotions perfectly.
The narration was amazing. I absolutely loved the narrators voice and he is on my list of favorites and this was the first time I've heard him.

Extremely Entertaining!
As usual, Kitty Thomas writes a fantastic dark and twisted romance.
Persephone was just delicious. It combines two of my favourite things, dark erotica and greek mythology, what more can I say?!

Fascinating Take on a Classic Myth! 4.5🔥Hot🔥Stars🌟
There are several different versions of Persephone & Hades story, but none quite like Kitty Thomas’. She puts her own spin on the tale and adds a bit more heat, sure it gets hot in hell but she makes it a better kind of hot, a kinkier kind. Persephone starts off in modern times in NYC, after years of searching for her Hades comes for her and takes her back with him to the underworld. Then all hell breaks loose, with Hades in control, he makes a submissive of Persephone, not quite sure how I feel about that, I’ve always pictured her as a strong goddess but then again being a sub does not make a person weak. And in the end she shows her strength. I enjoyed this retelling of the classic myth, Kitty Thomas is imaginative and creative in her writing and plotting. Lots of drama, angst and some godly and ungodly kinky sexcapades. Thank you Kitty Thomas on this great & entertaining story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Gregory Salinas is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. He played a badass Hades, he also did Persephone justice when she spoke in first person. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

The love story of Hades & Persephone.
Beautiful, dark erotic re-telling. I have read this before but this was my first encounter with audible. Got to say I was impressed more than I expected to be. The narrator's voice fits very well, very easy on the ears. With a voice like that, I could definitely go a bit weak at the knees for Hades. With audible, the ability to do chores whilst listening to Kitty's retelling of this story makes the mundane a thoroughly more enjoyable experience.
The story revolves around a very sexy Hades and the previously sheltered Persephone. Corruption, pleasures and a little debauchery soon follow, it is set in the underworld, what else would you expect. Well, there is also the love these 2 have for each other.
I love the story and love the audible experience. Congratulations Kitty, I loved every word.

This was a good quick listen. If you're looking for a Hades/Persephone story thats somewhat different (adult themes) then check it out.
Gregory did an amazing narration, I need to look up more of his work!

So unique
This book is fantastic I love this retelling of hades and Persephone. The story is compelling and unique which leaves you wanting more. The narrators voice is amazing and brings so much individuality to each character.

No fight in Persephone
Hades shares her, if he loved her he would not let anyone else touch her, just no fight in Persephone she comes across as weak...disappointed in this version of the story..

excellent narrator but was missing the love
I listened to the audio version but there was just something missing with this book. I love Greek mythology and this story did follow a lot of tradition (apart from perhaps the steamy, lustful debauchery in the underworld) but I never really felt the chemistry between Hades and Persephone. He was obsessively possessive after searching her for so many centuries, but then loaned her out to everyone and she didnt have much fight to her. There wasn't enough of them together (apart from punishments in Hades' bdsm playroom), to make me believe there was love involved. The final 25% did lift it when it got a lot darker.
The narrator was excellent, expressive and had a tone that suited Hades perfectly. The story although well written just fell a bit short for me. I will try more from the author as she's been on my wish list for a while.
