There's some amazing information in this book. It resonated a lot and really if you don't suffer from ADHD or anxiety it's very difficult to understand what is actually happening. This book really explains well both what is happening with your child and what you can do to make it better for them. As one of the most misunderstood ailments anxiety can be paralysing but not for the reasons you'd suspect, nor is it trigger because you are "frightened" which is what a lot of people assume. Great reading and if you have a kid with ADHD or anxiety don't think twice.

I truly wish my parents had had these books, particularly the one about anxiety, when I struggled as a child. Perhaps had they been better informed I would have felt understood, and their parental interventions would have been healthier and promoted my developed.
Unfortunately today, as a teacher, I see many parents go through the same patterns, trying to tame their child using what they know from the way they were brought up rather than using evidence-based practices and professional advice and tips. Every parent with a child displaying potential symptoms of anxiety and/or ADHD -which are both immensely widespread- should jump onto this collection to be better informed and receive an abundance of invaluable tips to better support their little one.

An important listen for all parents

The book is filled with helpful tips and strategies for managing common issues like hyperactivity, distractibility, and anxiety, and the author provides real-world examples to help parents relate to the challenges their children are facing. The language is clear and easy to understand, and the advice is grounded in research and clinical experience.

What I appreciate most about this book is its focus on empowering children to thrive, rather than simply managing their symptoms. The author provides parents with tools for promoting their children's strengths and fostering a sense of self-efficacy, which can have a lasting impact on their mental health and wellbeing.

Overall, I highly recommend "Parenting Strategies for Raising Children Diagnosed with Anxiety and ADHD" to any parent looking to better understand and support their child. It is a comprehensive, compassionate, and empowering guide that can make a real difference in the lives of families dealing with these challenging conditions.
