Summary

First do no harm.

Trevor Sanchez left behind a life of war with Alpha Team for a future in medicine. Pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor, Trevor doesn’t have much time for anything other than studying for the next exam in his accelerated medical school. When the Sons of Adam attack the teaching hospital he attends, Trevor can’t stand by and do nothing, especially not when someone’s life is in danger. When that life involves a gorgeous, funny paramedic, Trevor knows he’s in trouble.

Tread with care.

Paramedic Brendan Kane never thought rescuing a patient’s life would put his own at risk. Being targeted by a terrorist group was never covered in his medical training. When his security detail comes with a former member of Alpha Team, Brendan discovers a silver-lining to the situation. Trevor is hot like fire and oh so sexy, taking up space in Brendan’s life in unexpected ways that he’s reluctant to give up.

Never break an oath.

Trevor and Brendan must navigate their way through danger and a searing connection that leaves them both wanting more. If they hope to give the spark burning between them a chance to ignite, they’ll have to outlast the enemy first.

New Horizons is a 28,000 word novella that takes place after In the Requiem in the Metahuman Files series. New Horizons can technically be read as a standalone but characters appear within from the Metahuman Files.

New and Fun

This was a step outside our normal view of Alpha Team but it still delivered all the greatness of the series and a Hailey Turner book. Trevor and Brendan were charming, sexy, and full of sparks. They still managed to get into a ton of action packed troubles. I love the diversity of her writing and how she was able to turn a doctor and a paramedic into such a unique story.

Finally Trevor gets his HEA

A very exciting and action packed story that caught me up in it immediately. Although the relationship develops quickly, it didn't feel too fast becuase of the enormous amount of action they go through. I loved it.

Awesome world

I really enjoyed how these characters came together. They are both so unique and cute, rough and tough, adorable and tender. Turner has amazing world building talents creating a universe that is so interesting and exciting!

The narration is, of course, exemplary! Boudreau does amazingly well with different characters and voices, accents and tones, even various genders. He brings life to characters in a way you don’t see with many authors. One of the greats like Michael Dean, John Solo, Alexander Cendese. Just amazing.

Medicine and romance in a war zone

The characters and setting for this novella were amazing. We get the story of a doctor and a paramedic who experience a terrorist attack and while fighting to survive that, must deal with the sparks that ignite between them. Everything about this story is fast paced and hot and Greg Boudreaux is the perfect performer to keep everything moving at the breakneck pace while still making the connection between Brendan and Trevor perfectly believable.

A captivating book 2 in the Files!

Another wonderful "extra" that featured Trevor and Brendan's exciting story, with a plot full of twists and turns, while finding an amazing connection between them and a possible future together, in the middle of a battle against evil, with a lot of action and danger. Another captivating narration of Mr Boudreaux, bringing these characters to life with his voice acting. Loved It!

Hot and sweet!

And the award for most inventive use of Telekinesis goes to...

Trevor and Brendan (and Hailey Turner, because damn, that was hot!) *fans self*

I absolutely loved the two of them, they were amazing individually and together. Trevor was dashing and protective and Brendan was sweet and kind and selfless. They were perfect for each other and boy if they weren't explosive in bed. *fans some more*

Greg Boudreaux is fantastic as always. He simply can't do a bad narration, it's not in his DNA. And combined with Hailey's superb writing, well, you can't go wrong with this audiobook, so just get it, you can thank me later.

An action-packed romance

I loved getting to see a glimpse into what civilian life looks like for Trevor and the rest of the Alpha Team. Despite his interest in pursuing medicine, Trevor didn't surprise me at all when he leapt into action to protect innocent lives at risk. The fact that Brendan happened to be one of those in need of protection made their immediate attraction even more exciting. It was so much fun to see another action-packed case solved by the team, and the sweet romance between Trevor and Brendan was the cherry on top. Greg Boudreaux did a fantastic job bringing these guys to life, and I can't wait to see what's next!

Great addition

Hailey Turner did an amazing job with the short stories following the Metahuman series. Although each book in the Classified series can stand on its own, its best enjoy after the original series. Greg Boudreaux was super with the narration.

Coming out from the shadows

Trevor Sanchez just wants to get through medical school. He’s a metahuman, sure, but he wants to help people in a way that doesn’t include violence. When violence comes to the door of the hospital where he’s studying, though, he has no choice but to step in. He uses his telekinetic powers to subdue the perpetrators, and finds himself coming face-to-face with a very brave paramedic who stepped into the line of fire while protecting his patient. There’s chemistry between the two men and one thing leads to another.

But life isn’t always as easy as might be hoped. There are more bad guys, more battles to be fought, and more metahumans to make cameos.

This is a great novella featuring a metahuman who isn’t front and center and I enjoyed that. A glimpse into a secondary character who really did deserve his own happy ending. With an interesting technique in the bedroom. Creative indeed.

Finally, a nod to Greg Boudreaux’s narration. As always, he did a great job.

Trevor Finds His Man

This is the second book in The Metahuman Files: Classified Series. Although it is a shorter book that bridges book 5 and book 6 of the Metahuman Files Series. So, it is really Book 5.5. And you really do need to read the previous books especially book In The Requiem. A sensational book the writing was amazing. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters captivating. The characters were well developed and thought out. Trevor and Brendan are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, gun fire, MDF, Police, attacks, protection, school and so much more in this book. My only complaint about this book is that it ended too soon, even though the story was told (and well) I wanted more from these two men. The narration was really good not monotone with different voices for each character. I can highly recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

You can use telekinesis that way

A new side CP story from our Alpha team! A sexy, powerful and hot Doctor Trevor and yummy Paramedic Brendan, what’s not to like?!?!

Trevor thought he has left the life of excitement and danger behind when he decided to become a doctor but life obviously has other plans for him. First, he didn’t plan to fall in love which he did. Second, he thought he was done with danger and excitement which obviously he wasn’t. But Brendan is worth it.

It’s a little short considering this is a new couple but I gobbled it up just the same. As always, Greg’s narration is superb. Enjoyed it a lot.

Loved this short novella in the Metahuman Files series by Hailey Turner. It works as a standalone a little bit better than the first but I warn you, if you listen, you will be hooked! Greg Boudreaux is fantastic, as usual!

Trevor's Story

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. I am so glad to see that Trevor finally got his own story and finding love. His meeting and subsequent relationship with Brenden is suspenseful and attention-grabbing. Trevor and Brendan meet while Trevor is in class at the hospital and he winds up going to the ER because of a security issue. He winds up saving Brendan after he was shot. It’s a short story but packed with a lot of action.

Trevor’s story

I am super excited to have gotten to listen to Trevor’s story! This was so good and had a good amount of action to keep my attention along with the romance. Brendan and Trevor are the best! I was wrapped up in this story from the moment it started and never wanted it to stop. I loved getting to see them help people and their interactions. There is a very satisfying and happy ending to this story. I loved listening to these characters the narrator was very good with the voices.
