The police say it was suicide. Anna says it was murder. They're both wrong.
One year ago, Caroline Johnson chose to end her life - a shocking suicide carefully played out to match that of her husband just months before. Their daughter, Anna, has struggled to come to terms with her parents' deaths ever since.
Now with a young baby herself, Anna feels her mother's presence keenly and is determined to find out what really happened. But as she looks for answers, someone is trying to stop her. By digging up the past, she'll set in motion something that can't be stopped and will soon discover that sometimes it's safer to let things lie....
The stunning, twisty new psychological thriller from number one best seller Clare Mackintosh, author of I Let You Go and I See You.

Audible Sessions with Clare Mackintosh
Meet the author of Let Me LieBefore the final twist, the author diligently closes off all the loose ends for us in a very satisfactory way.
This is one book that I might actually read again. There's so much in it.
Suspense, Hitchcock style

Such a good story

There's no doubt that Claire Mackintosh is an amazing writer and storyteller - Her characters were strong, development was on-point and it had the right level of mystery to keep me reading till the end - however I wasn't as gripped with Let Me Lie as I had been with some of her other work, I See You & I Let You Go.
I do feel very touched by the relationship between Murray and Sarah. As someone who was diagnosed with BPD when I was in my teenage years I could see parallels, even with the sequence of events.
Mackintosh did a fantastic job of showing what it looks like from the other side, and also from the inside.
I would give this book a 3.5 stars.
Worthwhile but not as good as Mackintosh’s other works
