Summary

(Standalone story with teaser for next book)

From New York Times best-seller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes book number one of the Immortal Matchmakers, Inc., series, a paranormal romantic comedy.

Seven days to go from lethal immortal assassin to prince charming. Does he stand a chance?

Demigod Andrus Gray may look like every woman's dream, but when it comes to charm, he sees no point in pretending: He has none and makes no apologies for it. Behaving nicely hasn't made him the deadly assassin he is today. But is that really the reason he's still single?

Goddess Cimil - owner of Immortal Matchmakers, Inc. - thinks yes. So when she foresees a mate in Andrus' near future, she's determined to make the match happen. That means hiring aspiring actress Sadie Townsend to help the barbarian act a little more civilized.

But are seven days really enough? And why does he suddenly have the urge to throw away an eternity of love for just one night with Sadie?

I loved it.

This is a zany, weird and funny book which so made me laugh.

The basic story is a matchmaking agency for the Immortals living in our world. Say hi to gods, demi gods, vampires, unicorns (not the pretty white ones with rainbow manes and trails!) and a host of other characters.

If you are easily offended, don't like or understand silly jokes or innuendos, please don't listen to this book. Otherwise buckle up and enjoy a ride on the crazy train.

Enjoyed the story

I liked the story. But, I didn't like the narration much. It wasn't the narrator I didn't like, however, it was the quality of the recording. It echoed, it made popping sounds, and the volume seemed to go from loud to quiet at times. It was off putting, but because the story was funny and entertaining, I kept listening. I'm not sure I'll get the next one, though. I'd like to, but I can't stand bad audio recordings. It took me a week and a half to finish this one despite liking the story and I usually finish ones I like within a few days. I struggled with this one, sadly.

Drivel.

Unable to finish. If I could give this book minus stars I would. Amazon got it very wrong recommending this book to me.
The narrator sounds as if she is a twelve year old reading one of her mother's porn books and struggling not to giggle.
The story itself, I can't decide if the author was trying to write a comedic erotic novel and failed badly or is just bad at writing in general.
Although this is a standalone series it frequently references a previous series but I'm not willing to spend any more money buying the previous series to see if it makes me want to give this another chance.
