Summary
From New York Times best seller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a horribly sunny mystert, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant.
Nobody messes with his librarian....
Who killed Michael Vanderhorst’s maker? It’s a darn good question. But when the trail brings Michael to hellishly sunny Phoenix, Arizona, his biggest problem soon becomes a cute little librarian he can’t seem to stay away from. He’s never met a bigger danger magnet! Even her book cart has it out for her. And is that the drug cartel following her around, too? “Dear God, woman! What have you gotten yourself into?”
Things go from bad to worse when local vampires won’t play nice.
Can this 400-year-old vampire keep his librarian safe and himself out of hot water? Can he bring his maker’s killer to justice? Yesterday, he would’ve said yes. But yesterday, he didn’t have a strange connection with a librarian. Yesterday, people weren’t trying to kill her.

Wow
Well this is my first vampire book I've listened to and it was definitely different and funny and a bit weird and I liked it so will now listen to book 2. A new narrator as well who actually fits the crazy vampire lol.

Intrigue and humour
This is the first book I've come across....a lot of my reviews seem to be starting like this of late 😂🙈.....written by Mimi and it's an enjoyable one too.
It has mystery, a little bit of action, and some humour. This is also a book I'd be happy with my daughter reading it, as there are no profanities or explicit sexual conduct going on. Yes I know, that may be a little disappointing for some, but refreshing for others, and no I'm not going to tell you which it was for me 😋😋
I actually like Michael, he's a gentleman of the highest order and a vampire to boot. However, I found Miriam to be a little annoying. She's a timid owner of the library and becomes somewhat of a fascination for the ridiculously good looking 400+ year vampire.
She's clumsy and also becomes a target, one which ends up with Michael having to intervene. Nope not telling you why she's being targeted, as you need to read the book to find out. Also you'll find out how and why Michael helps her too!! 🤐🤐
With the book, you can also buy the audio too. This is narrated by Sean Posvistak, and just like Mimi, this is the first time I've come across him.
He's actually very good and has the correct timing for the humorous side of things and he grunts when it says grunts and sighs when it says sighs, that's not something you come across very often.
But my favourite part of his narration is when he's narrating the part of Mr Nice, the scary vampire who's looking for Mimi Jean, to force her to write more.....well I'm not going to tell you what or why 😂😂
So I do recommend both the book and the audio, as they really do go extremely well together and will give you every reason to buy the rest of the books.
All that's left to say is enjoy😉😉

Strangely enjoyable
Loved the narrator, he really suited the character of Micheal. Hoping book 2 has more of the character “Nice” he made me smile. Worth the credit
