Summary

When dealing with demons, the devil's in the details...

Stealing mystical and arcane artifacts is a dangerous business, especially for a human, but Zoey Wharton is an exceptional thief. The trick to staying alive is having friends in all the wrong places. While having a witch and a werewolf on the payroll helps, being partners with a vampire really opens doors.

Zoey and Daniel were childhood sweethearts until a violent car crash took his life and left her shattered. When Daniel returned from the grave as a vampire, his only interest in Zoey was in keeping her safely apart from the secrets of his dark world. He has vowed to protect her, but his heart seems as cold as the night he calls home.

Five years later, a mysterious new client named Lucas Halfer offers Zoey a fortune to steal the Light of Alhorra. The search for the Light leads Zoey into the arms of an earthbound faery prince. Devinshea Quinn sweeps her off her feet, showing her everything the supernatural world has to offer, but Daniel still calls to her heart.

As the true nature of the Light is revealed, Zoey discovers Halfer is a demon and much more than money is at stake. Per her contract, she must give him the Light or spend an eternity in Hell. What's a girl to do except fight for her soul...and her heart.

Fantastic! Kitty Bang rocks this!!

Lexi Blake is a genius, this series is the best of its genre I have read & ive tried not to nag too much for them to go on audio. This is like Christmas I read this whole series at least twice a year, it's got everything characters complex & endearing & hot. World building is phenomenal, the adventures & sex & interactions drag you in there is no aspect of this series that is dull. I can't praise it enough, completely unique in a gender that most of the books are different versions of the same. Just like Sylvia days the mark series this is my favorite from a author more famous for her other books. I love you Lexi Blake!!! So excited for sleeper to come out

Well....

This was a well written and performed book, but like some other reviewers, I dislike the main characters and their choices so much that I won't read or listen anymore of the series.

Thieves Book One

Thieves Book One.

Zoey and Daniel have been friends since they were children and grew into lovers as teenagers. After Daniel dies and rises as a vampire, Zoey gets into her father's business as a supernatural thief. Now her crew includes Daniel, Neil (the werewolf) and Sarah (the witch). When Zoey is contracted by a demon, the crew must find a way to steal the Light Of Alhorra from the fae. Meanwhile, Zoey is introduced to Devinshea Quinn (Dev) as a potential new lover.

Demons and witches and werewolves, Oh My! If you're looking for a fun paranormal romance exploring the realities of inter-species relationships, this is definitely the book for you!

Kitty Bang narrates this story with distinct characters and emotions.

Cheesy

This is a knock-off of the Twilight series with cheesy sex scenes. I won't bother with any other books in the series.

W00t!

This is that rare series that I've reread several times because it's just that good. I didn't see how the audiobook could live up to it. But Kitty Bang!!! Damn girl. You do Zoey proud!!! I'm so excited to hear the rest of them. Hurry! Can't wait to have the full set on audio as well as Kindle!!!

Side Note - You literally can't go wrong with a Lexi Blake book, and this series has it all. Enjoy!!!

Really good urban fantasy !

I didn’t know this author at all, but I will change that fact very quickly. I liked her style, her writing is fluid, when you start, you don’t want to stop. The story is full of action and I like it. The romance is also present but it doesn’t surpass the action and that's the way I prefer, just enough to spice things up. Maybe some will be put off by a love triangle, but it doesn’t bother me at all, on the contrary, the more the merrier ...
The performance was excellent, Kitty does a great job, a real pleasure to listen to.

Good narrator, main characters makes me cringe. <br />

The narrator was brilliant and the story good but she couldn't make these characters likeable. Still listened to the end though, THEY didn't get any better.
