Story
From the upper room of Pentecost to Azusa Street in Los Angeles, God has used prayer movements throughout history to change the world. More than 15 years ago, a group of students gathered for a prayer vigil in Chichester, England - and the prayers they started haven’t stopped. Out of that first meeting came 24-7 Prayer: an international movement of prayer, mission, and justice. Red Moon Rising is the story of how that movement continues today - and how each of us can be a part of the miracles God is doing through a new generation.

Story
A fresh, challenging and compassionate response to busyness, based on the way of life Jesus offered his disciples. Who are you becoming? That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. By outward metrics, everything appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren't pretty. So he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: 'Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life.' It wasn't the response he expected, but it continues to be the answer he needs.

We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable church. That wondrous early church of acts can be our reality today.

Story
Many of us ache for relationship with God, yet feel distant and disconnected from him. As if he's more of an idea we believe in our head than a person we relate to. But God has a name: Yahweh. This one simple idea has the potential to radically alter how you relate to God, not as a doctrine, but as a relational being who responds to you in an elastic, back-and-forth way.

What are we supposed to think about the coronavirus crisis? Some people think they know: ‘This is a sign of the End,’ they say. ‘It’s all predicted in the book of Revelation.’ Others disagree but are equally clear: ‘This is a call to repent. God is judging the world and through this disease he’s telling us to change.’ Some join in the chorus of blame and condemnation: ‘It’s the fault of the Chinese, the government, the World Health Organisation...’ Tom Wright examines these reactions to the virus and finds them wanting.

Great book to summarise all the reasons to believe in our wonderful God
- By Kelly on 23-06-19
Summary
Everyone prays.
But no one finds it easy. We all need a little help.
Pete Greig has been teaching on prayer - and leading a nonstop prayer movement - for 20 years. Now, for the first time, he puts his life's work into a response to the question everybody ultimately asks: how do I pray?
This down-to-earth introduction to life's greatest adventure will guide you deeper in your relationship with God, helping you to become more centred and still, clearer in discerning God's voice, more able to make sense of your disappointments and more expectant for miraculous breakthroughs too. It's full of honest, hard-won wisdom interspersed with real-life stories - some humorous, others moving - to equip and inspire your prayer life.
Journeying through the Lord's Prayer, and accompanied by online videos from The Prayer Course, which has been used by more than a million people, it unpacks nine essential aspects of prayer: stillness, adoration, petition, intercession, perseverance, contemplation, listening, confession and spiritual authority.
From one of today's most visionary communicators, for those who've been praying for years as well as those who want to pray but don't know where to begin, How to Pray is the simple, life-changing guide you've been waiting for.

Brilliant, Short, Simple, & Direct
There’s no iota of waffle in this book, it goes straight to the point cutting out religious bile & focusing on how you build the most important relationship of your existence. It’s only recently that I realised that sitting/kneeling to pray in the morning was a recipe for boredom & falling asleep even with the best of intentions. But my mind truly focuses on God like a laser when I take a long walk. When I walk, communication with God becomes very effortless. It’s ideas like this that are discussed in this book....whatever your own weirdness is, God just wants so much to meet with you daily & to be involved in your life.

Great content and practical advice for all Christians and seekers alike.
At the start I was unsure about the book as it seemed a bit basic but after chapter 1 I was hooked. Very helpful guide to prayer for seasoned Christians who need to reignite their prayer life, for newbies and for anyone else who calls them self a Christian. Great guide for seekers too as Pete explains prayer in good detail and takes the mystic idea out of it and discusses it as our normal activity with God. So a good insight for those questioning and being stirred. I do like that Pete narrated this himself, it sound very natural and you can hear his passion. It’s as if he has written this for an audiobook. Good call!! Adding others stories and those who have shown how prayer has changed their life and responses was a great addition also. Less referrals to the website you mention would be good, or even better have your own related to this book with the additional material and workbooks to help us get on track. All in all time well spent!!!

Entertaining, practical and foundational
This is an excellent book on the topic of prayer with a great range of illustrations, testimonies and heroes of the faith. Pete Greig starts to delve under the surface of prayer a bit but never gets “too theological” instead signposting other authors and keeping the pace moving along. The audio is superb, you can hear Pete’s passion and the prayers interspersed don’t seem like a performance. Finally this book has had an impact on my prayer life - that must be the goal and so I can’t recommend it enough.
