Summary

New York Times best seller

A 2015 Christian Book Award winner

Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity in this expanded edition with new bonus content and reflections.

"My friend Nabeel Qureshi was courageous enough to chase down the truth with intellectual integrity, no matter the personal cost," (Lee Strobel, best-selling author of The Case for Christ)

Providing an intimate view into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in two of the world's greatest religions and the quest for truth.

Qureshi - with great courage and intimacy - wrote this book with three major purposes in mind:

  • To tear down walls between two of the world's major religions by giving non-Muslim listeners an insider's perspective into a Muslim's heart and mind.
  • To equip the listener with facts and knowledge, showing the strength of the case for the gospel contrasted with the case for Islam.
  • To portray the immense inner struggle of Muslims grappling with the gospel, including all the sacrifices and doubts that rise up along the way.

Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus is more than the memoir of a man's pursuit of answers to the most important issues of life and faith. Ultimately, it's the story about the transformative grace and mercy of the one true God.

This edition has been expanded to include:

  • A revised foreword and introduction
  • A new afterword by apologist Mark Mittelberg and a reflection by Nabeel's wife
  • A substantially extended epilogue that shares how Nabeel told his friend David of his decision to follow Christ, how his parents found out, and more
  • Expert contributions from scholars and ministry leaders on each section of the book, contributions previously included only in the e-book edition
  • An appendix with a topical table of contents (for teaching from Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus)
  • An appendix tackling the objection that Ahmadi Muslims - the Islamic movement that Qureshi was raised in - are not true Muslims
  • And a sneak peek prologue from Nabeel's book, No God but One: Allah or Jesus?

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Genuine, brilliant and hearftelt!

This book is not only a powerful testimony of the truth of Jesus but also a touching and eye opening account of a muslim family way of life and the grip of islam on the core identity of a muslim believer, alongside other key points. Nabeel has managed through this book to dissipate much of my prejudices and fear of muslim people and put in me compassion for them and a desire to seek to understand them in the context of their culture. Instead of fearing them and rejecting them, the true follower of Jesus should seek to win them for the true kingdom of God, in love and relentless patience, just like David did with Nabeel.

Life changing!

This book is such a precious resource as it is a story of how God changed the heart of the most devout Muslim, Nabeel. He reads his story himself and you feel like he is speaking just to you. There were things he said that made me stop in my tracks, because God has used this wonderful faithful man and will continue to use his testimony to save both Muslims and other non- Christians alike. It is such an encouragement to keep telling others about Jesus, knowing what you believe, living it out and loving others. I have the beginnings of a much better understanding of Islam now and love that I can refer back to this book anytime. May God bless his wife and daughter and I look forward to meeting Nabeel in Heaven!

Excellent book! Highly recommended.

A compelling, well narrated and very educational book. Nabeel teaches how us to love and understand our Muslim neighbours and how to share our faith. Challenging Christians to research their own reasons for believing to better answer the inevitable questions the will be asked.

A brilliant story teller

I came across Nabeel’s story in spring this year and was captivated by the way he spoke about the gospel and the saving power of God. I then learned about his death and impact of his testimony and Christian apologetics on the world.

A vessel of the true God. This book has blessed me beyond measure

A powerful call to Christ...

Wow. When the book finishes you’ll feel you’ve got a much better and loving insight into Islam (outside of the media), how strong the call to Christ can be for anyone and a fascinating look at the historical evidence for Christianity (and to some extent Islam).

Nabeel will become a friend you feel you know by the end and I miss him already... Your faith in Christ will also deepen thanks to Nabeel’s story.

Fascinating Story on Islam and Christianity

A fascinating story about one persons journey in researching his religious beliefs. Irrespective of whether you are religious or not, the descriptions of life as a Muslim, growing up in America as a Muslim during 9/11 and the deep life long friendships made in those cauldron college years many have experienced I found addictive listening. I’d recommend this book to a very broad group of people. Fundamentally if you like an interesting story and like me know very little about Islam, it provided a great introduction to the beliefs and culture of a large chunk of the worlds population. Great listen!

They Lost the Plot

These two young men have completely lost the plot. The purpose of religion is to bring us closer to God, not to set people against each other. Jesus said of people like David Wood “you scour the World looking for converts and when you find them you make them twice as bad as yourselves”.

Nabeel clearly wasn’t listening when his Mother taught him the Quran, because the Quran clearly states, Jews Christians Sabians, people who believe in God will be SAVED.. Also the Quran states, He could have made us one religion, but He chose not to so race each other in doing good works. Furthermore Muslims are obliged to believe in all the Prophets of the Bible and the books they brought with them. All the Prophets taught the unity of God, the mental gymnastics Nabeel jumped through to believe in the trinity are mind boggling. The trinity contradict the first commandment “the Lord your God is One”.

Christ said by their works you shall know them. David Woods witnessed and acknowledged the Love in Nabeels family is exemplary, THIS IS A PRODUCT OF THEIR FAITH. He and Nabeel knew the pain this unnecessary conversion would cause, yet they went ahead none the less. I am a religious person, but very weak, I asked a WISE man once “hey I know the scriptures say I must pray but I just can’t get out of bed some mornings”, “oh don’t worry too much that is between you and God and He is Merciful”. I went on “I-know I’m supposed to fast but I don’t”, “don’t worry too much that is between you and God and He is very merciful”. I went on “I know I’m not supposed to lust after women but my hormones get the better of me. Don’t worry that is between you and God and He is very forgiving, but beware of breaking someone’s heart, because that person it doesn’t matter if it is your lover your employees your boss or your Mother especially you Mother if you break their heart your in BIG trouble. My heart broke when I read of his Mothers tears, I hope God forgives David and Nabeel on the grounds of their youth and stupidity.

Muslims and Christians have co existed peacefully in the past. In fact a Muslim family has been opening the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for hundred of years, because the Christians trusted them more than their rival sects. I’m an optimist I believe Peace will win over hate false news and stupidity. In the words of Christ and Muhammed Peace be with you.
