Summary
She was supposed to be dead.
When a chance invitation to a magical ball revives Lina’s spirit, but none of her memories, she’s left with more questions than answers. Lucky for her, she was also left with someone determined to help her uncover them.
With her Guardian, Nord, at her side Lina begins her search, but neither of them expected that the dangers of her past would resurface and threaten her future. A future she finds herself hoping will include the Viking-like man who makes her heart race.
As the details of Lina’s curse are finally revealed, will she and her Guardian be able to overcome the truth? Or will the secrets of their past destroy any chance they might have had at finding their happily ever after?
Spellbinding, sexy, and suspenseful, Hint of Danger is the first book in a new paranormal romance trilogy following a chance meeting at The Monster Ball. It's perfect for fans of overprotective alphas, smoldering sexual tension, and loads of banter. Thankfully, the ball was just the beginning for these two fated lovers.
Recommended for ages 18+ due to adult language, content, and scenes with graphic violence.

So good
Lina has been a ghost for as far back as she can remember she goes from house to house pretending she’s their room mate . One day a letter arrives inviting her to the Monster Ball when she arrives she realises she has a body and decides she’s going to make the most of it . At the ball she meets Nord who informs her he’s her guardian and they try and work out who she is but her spirit as been revived but her memories of anything before she was a ghost are gone. She goes home with Nord where he and his friend Finlay try and find out who Lina is. Love the chemistry between Nord and Lina and eagerly awaiting book 2. Shane East’s narration is perfection and Stella Hunter was great too .

I want more!
In this audiobook we get 2 in 1: the short story "Shade of Danger" and the first book "Hint of Danger". I loved that they're in a packbecause I think it's much easier to comprehend what happened to Lina.
Shade of Danger: it was a quick paced, fun to read (or listen, in this case), with a good dose of mystery.
Hint of Danger: well, this was pretty amazing. Lina wants to know who she is and what happened to her, and until the end we have great moments and a whole story with a mystery until the very end, where it gets even better... So I need more!
I received a free audio copy from the author for an honest review.

Great book
Lina is a spirit who doesn't remember anything about her life. She can't seem to interact with anything in the world but when she gets an invitation to a ball she found she could touch that.
Nord is a Guardian, he also gets an invite to the ball, but he has no interest in going. He does however go, with some persuading, and that is when he meets Lina. This is the start of a great hot and steamy book packed full of action scenes.
Both Shane and Stella does a great job on their charters they voice, and the background thoughts. They worked great together and having both a male voice and female voice helps bring the story to life so much more than if just one person read it.

I Loved It!
I missed reading the novella where we were introduced to the former ghost, Lina but as this is the start of a new series and it's in audio format I decided to listen to it, I'm so glad I did because it's beautifully written and narrated. The storyline is compulsive, once I started listening to this compelling, interesting, and exciting story I did not want to stop. Lina, has no memory of who she is, she knows she's not human but has no idea what she is? She also has a vague memory of being in danger, perhaps even murdered? On the bright side, she does have a sexy, hot Viking companion who has vowed to help and protect her. The interactions between these two are great, I'm enjoying the slow build-up of their relationship.
Meg Anne's writing style is easy to follow, it's very descriptive and as I was listening to the story I could close my eyes and it was like watching a movie as she painted all the characters, locations and actions with her words. This is my first book by her so obviously I hadn't read the Keeper Series but have since learned that the Brotherhood of Guardians who feature in this story are from that series - they were such interesting characters I may have to go and read that series too.
This is the beginning of a series and does end in a cliffhanger, one I did not see coming and one that had me screaming, no! I'm now totally hooked and must listen to book two as soon as possible.
The narration by Stella Hunter and Shane East is excellent and really added to my enjoyment of this compelling story.
I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Unusual and really enjoyable
I received a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.
I didn't know what to expect with this book, but I absolutely loved it. Fun and interesting characters, a good story with mysteries to ponder and great narration. I've only listened to one other book with duet narration before and in that one the switching between narrators in the dialogue was distracting and broke up the flow of the story. There was none of that here though, the narrators did a great job and the story flowed smoothly. I thoroughly recommend this book and I'm really looking forward to listening to book 2!

Insta-love
3.5 stars
I love this story, really. The mystery is so well done, it kept you interested all the time. I must say, please keep going and don't give up at the beginning, it gets the better. I had problems with the romance part, the insta-love is very strong and the pace is slooooow, I like the opposite. But the story is really well written and enjoyable.

Amazing!!!
An extraordinary storyline, amazing world building, awesome and well developed characters! There is plenty of mystery, lots of tension and steam between the main characters, plenty of action and a mindblowing ending (so far)! The narrators did an amazing job bringing the story to life and I really loved how this is a duet narration. It was a real treat listening to the interaction between Lina and Nord :)
I can't wait for the next installment in the series! Hope it comes soon :)

A must listen
This was my first Meg Anne book (if we don’t count the co-authored book I read last month) and it won’t be my last. And not just because it ended on a cliffhanger.
There is something compelling and captivating about Meg’s writing that kept me glued to my earbuds. Of course, I didn’t do any research, so wasn’t aware it ended on a cliffhanger, and is in fact, a true series. You know what that means? Yep! I’ve found a new series to binge. And I cannot wait.
Lina is a ghost who suddenly has a body. She doesn’t remember anything about her past. Enter Nord, a guardian, who instinctively knows she is his charge. As they work together to try and find out about Lina’s past, they’re attraction builds until it is undeniable. Nord tries to fight it, but Lina has other ideas. It’s a fun story of mystery, magic, murder, and attraction. A must listen.
Shane East and Stella Hunter perform this story in duet, and it is brilliant. Their voices complement each other perfectly. They give each character such a unique voice that it was easy to know who was speaking and when. The production came across as seamless and was a high quality listen.

Hooked right from the start
Absolutely loved this book. im captivated and thoroughly invested in the characters lives. The female lead is so much fun. The inner monologue is 'laugh out loud' material. I wasn't sure on the male lead at first but he grows on me by the minute. The bombshell at the end of this book will have you scrambling to download the next -trust me!. *clicks download* he he
