Critic reviews

"This book should be on every animal trainer's bookshelf...it is practical and very useful without sacrificing scientific and technical accuracy." (Jack Michael, PhD, Department of Psychology, Western Michigan University)

Great Book but....

Really need a hardcopy too for referencing. Also down to personal preference but found the reader hard to listen too at times.

Interesting book

The narration was very stilted, even for a book of this type. The content, however, was excellent. I’m just about to begin listening a second time through as there’s so much to take in!

Tedious

If the man narrating this had anymore of a boring voice they could use it to cure insomnia

Possibly interesting to dog trainers academy!

Overall dull full if names and dates rather than behaviour and insides so not interesting to the general reader.

Endlessly boring and dull

How can someone make a book so boring and tedious it sent me to sleep multiple time’s probably a fascinating subject but the narrator nails the most boring thing I have ever heard

Fantastic book for all the training basics

Well written and narrated, I will re-listen to this book at some point and take notes as I found it went into a lot of used details on a variety of training techniques, backed up with easy to understand examples and studies.

Technical learning

Found this to be a very technical, theorised audio book. Completely went over my head and as such. It enjoyable.

Dreadful!

This book was awful - stilted, robotic narration and the content was pretty terrible too. It was like being read to from a boring text book where they read out the scientific tables. I have no idea who this book would appeal to, but certainly not any pet dog owner. Honestly, it was so bad, that it’s actually annoyed me that I’ve lost several hours of my life that I won’t get back again!
