Summary
Flesh and blood continues the best-selling sci-fi series that blends healthy living and lots of dying. Now in development to be a major motion picture.
"I defy you to not laugh out loud at the adventures of the most unlikely hero of the apocalypse ever penned. Funny, touching and above all, hopeful." (The End of the World Reading Club)
Some things begin at the end of the world.
Ben Stone is sick to death. He’s sick of all the endless hatred since the wraths arrived. He’s sick of trying to find a refuge for him and his dog Brown to live out what’s left of their lives. But most of all he’s just sick. As Ben’s cancer spreads he’s left searching for a source of hope and warmth at the end of the world. Unfortunately for Ben it’s just started to snow....
Flesh and Blood continues the story of Ben and Brown from the number one best seller Before and After, which is now in development to be a major motion picture.
"Seriously, read this." THE PARAGON
"Ben Stone is a gloriously interesting character." (Little Bookness Lane)
"As good a debut novel as The Wasp Factory" (Jeremy Smith)
"Thought-provoking and inspiring." (The British Fantasy Society)
"Gore, humour, suspense, heart–with as many twists and turns as you could hope for." (Dystopic.co.uk)
Flesh and Blood is Book 2 in the Before and After series and is a must-listen for anyone who loves intelligent post-apocalyptic science fiction with a twist.

a decent sequel but not as good as the first
a decent sequel but didn't enjoy it like the first. in parts, it was just plain ridiculous which spoilt it for me. I found the narrator not so good at distinguishing between characters and often got confused as to who was talking or whose flashback it was. but again the unique perspective kept me interested as to what was going to happen next. probably wont ever re read this book though

Amazing
I finished this book while shopping groceries and had to stop myself from crying in the dry food aisle. not because the ending was sad but because I was done with the book. it's like losing a friend.
this book, as well as 'Before and After' is funny, captivating and engaging. Would totally recommend these books for everyone who needs to fill their time, I finished this one in two days because I couldn't put it down!

I really enjoyed this story.
Apocalyptic themes are my fav, Cold War kid I guess. I usually don’t mind too much the things that go into a fictional story, it’s fiction, it can be whatever the writer wants. I was a bit bothered by the nitrous oxide hitting pregnant woman saying her OB/GYN said it’s safe. It IS NOT SAFE!!!Other than that, great story!
