Summary
A political prisoner throughout his childhood, Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito) dreams of becoming El Presidente just like his father before he was killed and his family imprisoned during a revolution. A Leukaemia diagnosis might be his undoing, but an experimental drug that can only be grown in Yara, keeps him and his dream alive. But to hold on to power and keep up with production demand for his miracle drug, he must go to extreme lengths that shock even his own son Diego. Journalist and activist Clara García is determined to stop this dictator in the making whatever the cost.
Starring: Alejandro Vargas Lugo, Alex Ruiz, Ana Clements, Antonio Fornaris, Ariel Butwyna, Daniela Azuaje, David Juarez, Diego Jalfen, Erika Soto, Fernando Tiberini, Frederico Louhau, Gabriel Porras, Giancarlo Esposito, Jackie Quinones, Javier Prusky, Laura Cucurullo, Lorraine Ansell, Marta De Silva, Natalie Castellanos, Simone McIntyre, Stephane Cornicard, Susie Valerio, Vicky Tessio and Vidal Sancho.

So much potential fell flat
Three quarters of the way through still good but what an unspired ending. Disappointing

brilliant! perfect explanation of the game.
perfect story to make the game make sense!
brilliant voice acting, genuinely loved every second.
I hated Clara and the resistance in the game. Don't worry, they are just as horrible in this story.

An Audible And Irritable Far Cry 6 Companion
Far Cry: Rise of the Revolution is the perfect companion piece to Far Cry 6-this in large part is because it contains a listenable version of everything that's great and ghastly from the 2021 Ubisoft open-world epic. Thankfully, you are spared the mindless traipsing across Yara that the game provides you, but you still have to endure annoying Hispanic accents, pinching woke characters with their social justice agendas, and it's still as marmite as Far Cry 6 is. The good news is you only hear the word "guerilla" twice in this audiobook, so your ears can be saved from a battering like the game gave you thanks to the gratuitous use of the term in most of the in-game cutscenes. Perhaps the best thing to say about this audiobook though, is that it is genuinely appreciable that this kind of lore exists to expand the Far Cry 6 story.

Good stories matter.
Way better story than the video game. This audio book gives me hope that there can be better Far Cry stories in the future.

Excellent performances.
The story fizzled out a bit at the end, as if a few hundred more pages were required. Entertaining few hours and absolutely excellent soundscapes.
I didn't know it's a game!! Just learnt this. Explains a lot. Must be a cracking game!

Great performance, not so engaging story
The performance of the voice actors is stellar. The story is less engaging than expected and ends in a cliff hanger. Was expecting more action and character development. So far, the book seems like a prequel.

Decent
Having never played the games, I went into this book not knowing what to expect. Not bad to be fair. The story was good, the characters were good and the performances were top notch.
Doesn’t leave me wanting to play the games though. But overall a good listen.

too noisy.
the background music was often too noisy and sometimes speech was inaudible. Story line weak.
