About this listen

Contains books one and two of Dream Stream Reality.

Dream Stream Reality, book 1

The only time you can’t game is when you’re sleeping...until now.

Mild-mannered security guards by night. Powerful, magic-wielding heroes by day. Donald and his friends have been chosen to beta test the new version of Dream Stream Reality, a massive multiplayer game world which is played while you sleep. Who wouldn’t want to design their own adventures while napping? It's literally the dream.

Donald must balance an increasingly volatile personal life with exploring the new release and actively hunting for glitches and bugs within technology so advanced it feels like reality. What could possibly go wrong?

The Twilight Hatchling, book 2

Donald and his friends have moved into the all-expenses-paid, plush suite within the DSR Corporation’s headquarters along with several other beta testers. Their lives have certainly taken a turn for the better. Except for Donald’s love life - but at least he has his friends to help him through it. Having a barrel full of laughs while playing games with your friends is a sure-fire way to get over a girl, right?

Once Donald and his friends have all named their new AI’s, they will be able to summon them into the realm of Orbis as familiars. There’s a catch, however. They have no idea what the creatures will be....

I was entirely caught off gaurd by how much I genuinely enjoyed this publisher's pack, I found myself frantically searching the store for the next entry into the series upon completion !

A very promising start to the series

Narrator was mostly excellent, and story enjoyable, but there were couple annoying points in story. Main characters anger issues almost had me stop reading at one point, but they were included well enough into story itself.

Story did not have any new ideas, but it felt relatively well written nonetheless. Voice acting was mostly enjoyable, but at times minor characters were annoying.

Having only two books out of three to listen left me into a cliffhanger that was surprisingly frustrating - it was nice to be this attached to characters and to story.

A nice LitRPG story

Good story and narration. A couple events, and in particular Vicky, felt a bit contrived. I also would have expected them to reflect on how real the npc’s seem a bit more. Still, the novelty and humour of the group dynamics make up for it.

Well worth the listen

enjoyable but very similar to way of shaman

Not my usual read but good. The story was good. Hope there’s another in the series.

Very “in game” based but I enjoyed it.
