Summary
Two’s company and three’s a crowd, right? Not when you’ve got a genius who knows that, sometimes, it takes more than two people to make a family.
Cody’s been waiting years for his sexy former professor to take the leap and ask him out. Unfortunately, Cody’s youthful looks and the fact that Jameson has known him since he was 14 aren’t helping the situation any. When the precocious student finally decides that the slightly reluctant Jameson needs a little push to move him in the right direction, Cody knows just what to do: follow his curiosity.
When Ford is introduced to Cody at Bound & Controlled, he’s interested, but a little wary. Just because the funny little thing says he’s looking for a daddy doesn’t mean Ford is the one for him. Guys are usually hesitant when it comes to getting close to an asexual daddy dom. But the unpredictable Cody seems to think that’s the perfect combination.

such an interesting take on the Daddy /boy dynamic
I really enjoyed this unusual story. Having an asexual Daddy fits Cody's needs perfectly as he is already in love with another man. The relationship between Cody and Ford is so sweet, but Jameson and Cody have a much more complicated relationship to navigate.
I love that both worlds start to collide towards the end of the book and I am really looking forward to book 2 to find out what happens to these 3 men.

A Daddy, a Dom and a Genius
This is a beginning of the series and the MC's get together only in the end of the book. Not a complete story, just a start.
This book is mostly about a young but highly intelligent Boy finding his asexual Daddy. The boy is in love with his teacher, who becomes his Dom in the end. The age play scenes were well written and the MMM end scene is very hot! Sweet story without any angst.
Narration is alright. Some of the voices sounded unnaturally low, which I didn't like.

So sweet and embracing!
Loved it!
A very special young man has very special needs.
If I could add one thing it would be a little bit more about the development of Cody and Jamesons relationship. From both their pov.
But in total the story is sweet and careful (like in full of care) and as usual Kenneth Obi brings them all to life!

A little and his dinosaur...
MA Innes just has a way of making amazing characters. I can’t even pick who is my favourite out of Cody, Jameson and Ford.
Cody is adorable, both in his little self, and in adult Cody. Beyond super smart and not really fitting in with people his own age he’s been in love with Jameson for years. Jameson is a professor...and still determined to see Cody as the 14 year old he first met even as he is attracted to him. Cody has discovered age-play and a trip to a club results in him meeting Ford. Ford is a Daddy, and asexual.
I loved the story and the characters. How they interacted with each other, both in duos and the three of them together was so sweet. The narration is spot on too which always helps. With there being three main characters sometimes the waters (or rather the voices) can be muddied but Kenneth Obi keeps everyone distinct and individual. I know I always say it about his narration but he makes me feel like it’s the first time I’m experiencing the book and that’s amazing to me.

Intrigued, and definitely not disappointed
Another excellent MA Innes book.
I’m a fan of MMM books so when it became clear this wasn’t your standard format, I was intrigued. I wasn’t disappointed, these characters are truly wonderful.
I love Cody to pieces, he’s utterly adorable. I also love Ford, so dependable and calm. I wanted to put a rocket under Jamieson until also the scene where Jamieson and Ford worked through their first meeting. It was beautifully and sensitively written (and narrated) and I promptly fell for J too.
The narration was excellent, with the voices genuinely bringing these lovely men to life.
The only downside was the HFN ending, and I can’t wait for the next one.....

A little too slow, but excellent narration
Embracing Faith is book 1 in the Embrace series by M.A. Innes and narrated by Kenneth Obi. Let me start by saying that I adore these characters. I may have even enjoyed Jameson so much more listening to the book, then I originally did when first read it. I found his interactions with Beckett and Cody to be almost comedic and sassy, to the point that I found myself giggling several times. I also loved Ford and Cody from just about the beginning. My issue with this book is that while I realize that it is classified as a slow-burn romance, it felt more like an exercise in patience. It just felt very slow and even though I loved the interactions, the speed at which we got them was difficult, perhaps even more so, because I enjoyed these characters so much. I will say that the audio made the pace of the story much more manageable because it allowed me to get wrapped up in the characters and watch the story unfold. The narration was outstanding, and each character’s voice fit perfectly with what I had envisioned. If I had to pick a favorite vocal performance, it would be Jameson, because those were the scenes, I enjoyed the most and like I said earlier, I found the audio to be far funnier than when I first read it.
I highly recommend this book if you are fan of slow-burn MMM romances with a side of ageplay.

Sweet, genius boy finds his HEA
I absolutely love Cody, he so damn smart and sweet and mischievous.
He really needed someone to take him in hand and help him corral all that restless energy and Daddy Ford seems perfectly suited for that task.
Cody is desperately in love with Jameson, one of his professors, but he Jameson shuns any possibility of that because he thinks Cody looks too young, among other issues.
I really wanted to smack Jameson upside the head
for drawing things out but I get that he has issues that need to be addressed in his own time, it's just my impatience wanting to see everyone get their HEA.
Luckily for Jameson, Cody is mischievous and determined enough to get what he wants and that's Jameson.
Although he doesn't really know anything about Daddies and kink, Jameson soon finds himself intrigued and drawn to Daddy Ford who is going to be the perfect catalyst for bringing them all together.
Kenneth Obi is a one click narrator for me and he has done an absolutely amazing job bringing these three distinctive men and their voices to life.

Interesting M/M/M story
This was an interesting story of three guys who each need something different, but find just what they need in each other. Neither of the other guys in the three-way can completely fulfill either of the others, but together there might be a way. I say might, because the story ends just as things come together. I would say the same for the heat factor. Things don't really get hot until the last chapter. There is no penetrative sex, just hand and blow jobs. There is good exploration of diversity, with one character being asexual and another a "little." If you enjoy reading about these kinds of relationships, you might give this story 5 stars. I only accorded is 4 stars because I just can't get into the idea of an adult wearing diapers, using a pacifier, and sleeping in a crib. That's on me for not reading the description better to know what the story included.
The narration was just okay for me, neither good nor bad. Mr. Obi's deep voice just doesn't seem regular to me. I guess I don't know any people with voices that deep in my day-to-day life.

as great as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

Discovering Who They Are...
***WARNING***
This review is about a novel that contains MMM sexual content, BDSM elements, spankings, and age play. If you are at all uncomfortable with any of those topics I would say this isn’t the book for you.
Embracing Faith is an intriguing novel written by M.A. Innes. It’s a story about three very different individuals that come together in a unique way to form a very interesting relationship. Just like previous novels I’ve read, M.A. Innes did a fantastic job of drawing me into a story that I might not have expected to understand or enjoy. She’s one of the first authors I’ve found where kink is the main focus of the story’s plot and I have to say, I freaking love her take on the kinkier side of life!
This interesting story is about Cody, Ford, and Jameson, navigating a very unique relationship. You’ll also see cameos or hear mentions of characters you might have met in previous novels by M.A. Innes/Shaw Montgomery such as Beckett, Finn, Ben, Conner, Eric, and his daddy, Marcus.
Cody’s a genius who graduated early and started his college career at fourteen. He’s what people would call a professional student. Curiosity and the need to learn new things keep Cody on the road to discovery. One of those discoveries just so happens to be age play. He’s been treated like an adult most of his life. So, when he learns about this new kink in one of his classes, he’s drawn to it. Cody has also been in love with Jameson, one of his first professors at his college since he started school there. The only problem with that is Jameson doesn’t see Cody as an adult. Despite his attraction to the younger man, he still sees Cody as a kid.
Ford, on the other hand, is an old hand in the kink scene. He’s a Daddy Dom that spends time cuddling the needy Littles at the club but never takes one as his very own Little. Ford is an asexual person that doesn’t want more from a relationship than the sweet cuddly things. He’s not interested in a sexual relationship and that makes it hard for him to do relationships. That is until he meets Cody. The younger man starts off their first meeting at the club by admitting he’s in love with someone else so sex is off the table. This is a win-win for both of them because Cody can explore age play with Ford without Ford being pressured for more.
Jameson is the sort of man that likes to do the right thing. He’s known Cody since he was fourteen and taking one of his classes. James knows that Cody has feelings for him but he doesn’t act on those feelings because it seems wrong to him. Cody is so young in his eyes, so James thought he was doing what was best by ignoring those feelings. He also has a bit of trauma from his past that involves an older boy when he was in high school, and his awful mother making a huge deal out of nothing. All of these things make it hard for James to act on the feelings he has for Cody.
This story is so interesting because the relationship starts off with Cody openly dating both Ford and Jameson. There is no cheating because they all know about one another. James doesn’t find out exactly what Cody is into kink wise until the latter part of the novel, he just knows Ford can give Cody something he probably can’t. There is an understanding between them all that makes this book so heartwarming! Cody learns a lot about being a Little with Ford. They are great together and I really enjoyed the cute, playful way Cody behaved when he had regressed. I love how James was so understanding of Cody when he and Ford had dinner for the first time to officially meet one another. And, though I’m not a pro when it comes to understanding the age play kink, I think M.A. Innes did a fantastic job of portraying the lifestyle based on what I do know about. It was a sweet book about discovery, good communication, sweet acceptance, and overall good feels. I will say that it ends with a ‘happy for now’ ending. You don’t necessarily have to continue on to book two in order to enjoy this book, but I recommend it.
Kenneth Obi, the narrator, did a wonderful job of putting the proverbial cherry on top of this great story. He captures the personality of each character so well it makes you feel as if you truly know them. There is something so soothing about Ken’s voice and I feel it really compliments the elements of Embracing Faith. If you’re a fan of Kenneth Obi’s previous work I’m sure you’ll love listening to this sweet story.
Overall, this was a wonderful read/listen. Both the author and the narrator did a fantastic job. I’d highly recommend Embracing Faith to anyone who likes other works by M.A. Innes and/or Kenneth Obi, or who likes age play novels in general. I don’t think you’ll walk away from this one feeling unsatisfied.
