Just ridiculous

This is sex and talk about sex. In between is a sliver of plot too ridiculous to be satisfying. Lots of coincidences and some real errors. And the characters are interchangeable.

Couldn't finish

Sadly couldn't finish. People don't talk that way, or reveal those things about themselves in a few nights. Someone in Indy's position especially wouldn't. I get that they built trust in those first few scenes but it was the way feelings/insecurities were written out into dialogue. It was so unrealistic, the way they communicated and really made me cringe in the end so I couldn't even get half way.
I can tell the author has a good story building talent/skill the first few bits dragged me in and it was an interesting premise. Oddly the bits where there is no dialogue, it's very well written but it's such a dialogue driven story and the dialogue was simple in places where it needed to be more complicated and realistic.
Narrator was good as well just couldn't finish because of unrealistic dialogue.

What a long listen! but worth it

Well, I finally finished listening to the stories... it took a while!
Loved nearly all the books - some are stronger than other but overall - kept me listening. Kenneth Obi did an amazing job - all the characters were different etc. Incredible.

No Shame series, apptly named

This whole series is a story about love and being loved in many of its forms. Most of the men in this serie have endured either abuse, neglect and/ or trauma in their live. But they also fight for a better live for themselves and the ones they love. This serie has a lot of explicit sex scenes, if you find that offensive, this might not be the bundle for you. The narration by the late Mr. Obi is excellent. Trigger warning: PTSD, ( retelling of) both sexual assault & partner abuse.

Love it!

I love this series. I have listened to it twice now and no doubt will listen again in the future. I love reading about how the relationships build between the characters and then how they evolve throughout. A great story and excellent narration. You won't be disappointed.

Lots of sex

A bit too heavy on the sex for me but just enough plot to keep my attention. Narration was very good.

as great as the whole series!!!!

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Found family, hurt/comfort, opposites attract and second chance romance!

This entire series is amazing!
It love how we get to see found family, hurt/comfort and opposites attract themes.
This entire series is exceptionally well written. My favorite of the series was No Fears as I liked the depth of emotion portrayed in that one.
All the characters were real, relatable and well fleshed out. The author's writing style appealed to me and I liked the universe in which the story is set.
Kenneth Obi has done an amazing audio delivery which made listening to this all the more enjoyable.

Great

It was well-written, hot as hell porn. There are splashes of plot for each book, but out of the 100-something actual chapters of this series, there are at least 80 descriptive, perfectly performed sex scenes. Before anyone starts reading this series they should evaluate whether or not they would still like to participate in living life or spend the next 35 hrs being absolutely labidinous forgoing sleep and other important tasks. Kenneth Obi is just the best narrator with excellent voice distinctions for each character. There are SO MANY characters so that is a feat. He also does the sighs, moans, laughs that really ring true to each character. I also love all of the deleted scenes and in-between novellas. Great bonus material!! I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It is addictive to get glimpses of these different kinks and lifestyles. It's difficult to turn it off. Im sure that's the point, but if you're looking for an actual plot, most of the plot is about their connections and working through acceptance leading to sex, sex, and more sex.

I love these men!!!

This series is incredible, and I love having it as a box set! I had read the series a while back. It was just as incredible this time as it was when I read the books. These imperfect men are so perfect for each other. I really like seeing the men grow into themselves as well as their relationships to the others. In all fairness, though, I did shed some tears, and there are some difficult subjects addressed so pay attention to warnings if you have triggers. I definitely recommend this series!

Wow wow wow!

This was so good and so true to the parts of the life styles that I know. Yet enlightening to those I never really understood. Thank you. Just the right amount of story drama tears and hot hot hot sex.

Indy is AMAZING

Omg! I loved this whole series. I love how these guys created their own family. It was wonderful to see the strong bond these guys have. Indy was amazing and was the glue to keeping everything together. The strength he has is simply amazing. Narrator did an excellent job. I have quickly become a fan of Nora Phoenix.

Couldn’t get through book 2

Not my favorite. No connection the the characters for me and the Indy’s accent and Josh’s voices drove me up the wall. Book 2 started off poorly with Josh and Connor moving way too fast to be taken seriously and Josh became unlikeable to me. Not into the overall story or the narrator for this one.

I did like the Noah character. Probably the only saving grace of this book for me.

I’m having a hard time rating this one

I always love Kenneth Obi’s narration and I love Nora’s books. I only struggle with my rating for this because I wish there had been more story. This is entirely a personal preference. I did fall in love with all of the characters and I am going to miss them terribly.

Oh my … I liked it.

The story is pretty good. As a writer myself, I can think of things I would have written differently, but then, that is one writing style vs another and is not comparable. To that end, I REALLY enjoyed the ‘cut’ scenes. It was very interesting to see alternate ideas, and potential plot tangents that didn’t make it into the original book series.

I found that Indy and Connor’s voices were the same. I had difficulty differentiating between the two unless it was obvious who was speaking (as it usually was). Then again, I’m from coastal NC. I have a thick accent as well. So who am I to judge Boston (rhetorical)?

Overall a good read/listen. I am looking for more from this same author and/or narrator.

I definitely suggest reading (or listening to) this series. I enjoyed it a lot.

Awesome!!!

I love all these relationships in this book and the complexities of their stories. I didn’t feel like I was listening to nearly 48 hours of this audiobook. I love Nora Phoenix and I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.. 10/10.
