This set was not for me. I understand the humour and I think it would be really funny for some. I recommend you listen to the sample, if it tickles your fancy…go for it.

Well now, do you believe that we were made in God’s image, that we are his, messy and weird as fluff productions? Do you, not, give a figgy biscuit about God’s existence? Do you subscribe to, or agnostically laugh at the religiousness that this world has to offer? Do you enjoy a bit of malicious compliance…c’mon, be honest? Can you get behind a smidge of sarcasm and a whole glut of shenanigans? Do you have Audible Unlimited? (Not a paid promotion).

Are you worried you won’t finish all the books? Well stop worrying!!! These books take less commitment than marriage, while last longer and feeling better than conjugal necessities! The books have been well written, with characters you may already know, in situations, unexpected, by the character and reader. Mark Cain isn’t my ‘go to’ author, but I am going to have to check out what else he’s been up to! These books are hilarious, irreverent and very, very enjoyable.

Now, ask me, was the narrator like licking a nine volt battery? Funny you should ask that! Yes, he did have a bit of a weird flavour, but he also had some fizz with occasional jolts of high energy! Plus, not everyone is able to do perfect accents, and I’m sure we’ve all been in a pub and tried the accent of the bloke next to us, only being saved a beating because the bloke found us too funny to pulverise, though he did make us promise to never visit Liverpool!! Haven’t we? No? Well, me neither!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, Books 5-8 have finished downloading and I have got to start finding out what deeds are to be done, or indeed, undone next! Liverpool? I know nothing, I never met her!

Started reading book one as wanted something a bit cheerful and loved it so much I immediately got the audible box set of the 4 books. Light hearted and funny and really enjoyed the narrators different characters. Would highly recommend
