Summary

Following the lead of Florence Nightingale, Steve’s partner in Eternity, he has returned to Hell to ease the suffering of the Damned. Yet Steve is faced with a dilemma. What can he do that will offer more than a brief respite from everlasting torment? And how can he make it funny at the same time?

In Steve’s search for meaningful employment in the Afterlife, he has one comic misadventure after another. Along the way, he meets a few new angels and a couple of saints. He even learns what may be one of the great secrets of the universe...or maybe not.

And all the while, something’s bothering him. Too many people who have been consigned to Hell just don’t seem to belong there. Steve is determined to find out why, whether Satan likes it or not.

Especially if Satan doesn’t like it. After all, Steve is no angel. He’s a little bit good, a little bit bad, and a whole lot of trouble!

I’m No Angel Is the fifth volume in the satire/fantasy comedy series, Circles in Hell. It has been compared to other works of "hell fiction" including The Screwtape Letters and Good Omens and to the paranormal humor of Tom Holt, Christopher Moore, and Douglas Adams.

Aww man

This short story offers nothing of relative value to an alright series. Really wished anything of consequence would happen, but this book is 90 percent flash backs.

As always a great listen!

The whole premise of Hells Superintendent is brilliant and the story just keeps evolving. I love it!

I love this series.

I love this series. I’m hooked. I’m hoping that the author continues on in the lives (afterlives) of Steve and Florence. Each character is so detailed and imaginative, my absolute favorite being BOOH.

Such a fun series.

I have really enjoyed this series. I found it shopping for box sets, and although there were some reviews that did not like it there were many that enjoyed the humor. So I decided to give it a try. It's a stitch you'll love it.
You need to start from the beginning when Steve is the super to hell. His sidekick is Orson Welles, and he befriends many other people down there like Tesla and Edison and Braille. Florence Nightingale is also down there bringing respite to the tortured souls. Give it a chance if you're looking for something different. It has mysteries to solve, love, romance, non graphic kinky sex, hahahaha, horror kind of, it is based in hell after all.

It's light it's funny it's naughty but just a little bit. Of course it's about hell it has to be just a little bit naughty.

If you're a straight laced Square you probably won't enjoy it but you probably wouldn't be looking at this type of book anyway.

When I Go, I Want To Be With Minion!

My wife and I really enjoyed this series! We listened to it while traveling and it really made the time go by. The production was great, the characters were totally engaging, and the action was easy to follow. The author's irreverent humor was refreshing. I highly recommend this whole series for a rollicking good time.

Guided tours to hell for the saved! I’m hooked

I can’t say enough about this series, it’s author and it’s narrator. 1st off, narrator is not the appropriate term. Gilboe is a voice actor. Every character has a unique and quite frankly uniquely appropriate voice. The sound effects are wonderful, the sarcasm is dripping and the disgust oozes. The presentation is truly top notch. The author? He has created a triple realm of heaven, hell, and the sorting ground in between where they are sent one way or the other. Our grey clad anti-hero the ex head of maintenance and now first redeemed soul is trying to find his place in the afterlife. He has love and friends but no true purpose. So he dabbled in ways to piss off Satan in the meantime. One of those ways is to bring saved souls from heaven on a guided tour of hell with the requirement of interfering in the damned souls eternal torment at least once each as payment. The latest installment of the series is as hilarious as the rest and let me say that our hero does find his calling and it’s a doozy. Enjoy it but please please please read/listen to the others first or you will truly miss so much.

Best book in the series! Hilarious!

This was my favorite book of this series! It was full of nonstop action and humor. As the series has gone on each of the characters have gained more depth. I really liked that Saint Peter had a big part in this book. Beezie has always been one of my favorites and I love how Cain makes a point to bring back all the characters from the other books even if it’s just for a small part. I hope this isn’t the last book about Steve Minion and the Circles of Hell. I’ve really come to enjoy them.
The narrator for these books does an excellent job. Each character has a distinctive voice and personality. He speaks clearly and is easy to understand. He definitely adds something special to the series.

I would like to thank the author/narrator/publisher for generously providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Great story!

This is a very entertaining series. The narrator chosen was perfect for bringing the stories to life.
