David Tennant does a stellar job bringing the story to life. Even if you are not a kid anymore, Cressida Cowell's tales of Hiccup are so much fun to listen to that it is seriously addictive. Shame though that this is an abridged version.

Camicazi, Camicazi, Camicazi! BEST CHARACTER IN THE WORLD! Hiccup's good, Fishlegs is funny but Camicazi is definitely the best with her amazing Welsh accent.

You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this story. You just have to use your inner child imagination, come on, it's easy! The intonations of David Tennant's voice keeps you in the thick of it. I so love an adventure and that's what awaits you in this tale of "How to cheat a Dragon's curse".

It was a great book, I love David Tenant in this I give it 15 stars!
It did meet its expectations
I like kid books on occasion. Don't get into this one thinking its anything like the movie though. So long as you keep the two separate from each other its enjoyable even for adults. Very cute and adorable as well as a lot of fun.
What did you love best about How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse?
"The Dragons, of course"- my seven year old son who listened to it.
What does David Tennant bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Other than he's also The Doctor and is awesome? Tennant has a very expressive voice and nice accent to listen to. If you have watched Doctor Who during the tenth doctor's era you can almost visualize his facial expressions.

My seven year old son (high functioning autism and adhd) loved listening to this while he played minecraft on his kindle.
This a great series. I purchased the first three books in the series unabridged and with a different narrator. For this book unabridged and with the original narrator wasn't an option. At first I thought my dislike of the narrator was me just not liking change, but as the story progressed my opinion of the narrator didn't. He uses voices that make the characters sound mentally retarded. I still enjoyed the story, but was distracted by the narration.
The story is interesting and the narration fantastic. Great car journey book. We listen to this series in the car on the way to school and we all really enjoy it.
