About this listen

With diary entries written by 11-year-old Libby Scott, based on her own experiences of autism, this pioneering book, written in collaboration with esteemed author Rebecca Westcott, has been widely praised for its realistic portrayal of autism.

Tally is 11 years old, and she's just like her friends. Well, sometimes she is. If she tries really hard to be. Because there's something that makes Tally not the same as her friends. Something she can't cover up, no matter how hard she tries: Tally is autistic.

Tally's autism means there are things that bother her even though she wishes they didn't. It means that some people misunderstand her and feel frustrated by her.

People think that because Tally's autistic, she doesn't realise what they're thinking, but Tally sees and hears - and notices - all of it. And, honestly? That's not the easiest thing to live with.

Endearing, insightful and warmly uplifting, Can You See Me? is a story of autism, empathy and kindness that will touch listeners of all ages.

As a parent of a daughter living with autism this seemed like a must read, I am so glad that I did. Never have I read something so helpful that I felt I could relate to but with a new level of understanding. I'm not perfect and I won't always get it right, but I feel more confident after reading this that I can support my little girl on a stronger level now. thank you for sharing your experience and putting it together in such an engrossing format. More please!

I got this book because I wanted to understand more about autistic children and what an amazing book this is.

Beautifully narrated, charming & emotional.

While I had to persist at the beginning, it quickly grew on me and I just didn't want it to end.

It really makes you feel and empathise for the the characters and they were portrayed beautifully (the educational message certainly gets across).

I can't praise the narrator enuph - she was first class!

I just didn't want this book to end its charming.

I listened to this as a recommendation to see if I could relate to any of it being diagnosed later in life with autism. this book is spot on-like this young lady was telling my story. Definitely recommend this

I love the voice of the narrator her voice is so calming and the book teaches you so much about someone with autism from there perspective and what it is like for a 11 year old girl starting secondary school and all the drama they go through. And overall this is a great book for anyone.
