Summary

As captain of the galaxy’s only all-female bounty hunter crew, Danica thought she was prepared for anything. She wasn’t expecting him.

Marooned on a sand planet, injured, and separated from her crew, Captain Danica Miller is not having a good day. When she’s rescued from the desert by a huge, gold-skinned alien, she doesn’t know whether to be relieved or to panic. Not only is he clearly a barbarian — a barely-dressed one at that — he seems to be able to read her thoughts. Even worse? She can sense his. And he seems to think she’s his to claim.

The last thing K'alvek wants is a frail creature distracting him from his mission — even if he does feel drawn to her. Then why can’t he stop himself from saving the willful woman and vowing to help her and her crew get off the planet? Especially when what he really wants to do is drag her to his tent and never let her go.

This standalone action-romance novel features a feisty, all-female bounty hunter crew; gorgeous, sand planet barbarian warriors; action-packed battles; and steamy scenes in an exotic desert oasis.

If you like hot alien warriors, strong women, and fated mates romance with a happily ever after, you’ll love Bounty, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Barbarians of the Sand Planet series.

More, please!

Bounty, the first book in the Barbarians of the Sand Planet, is a wonderfully written alien sci-fi romance. The storyline is well-composed, and it starts brilliantly, as the events progress, it gets better, and better with loads of action and scorching hot steam. The audiobook was thoroughly satisfying; I was utterly enthralled from the start to the end. Tana Stone has created a fascinating world, a sentiment to her creativity and remarkable imagination. The characters are terrific with diverse personalities and characteristics. Captain Danica Miller and her Bounty Hunter Crew are injured and stranded on a desolate sand planet, after being shot down by pirates. They are discovered by K’alvek and his men, huge golden-skinned alpha-male alien warriors. The attraction and fiery passion between Danica and K’alvek are undeniable, especially when they could be mates. Outstanding dual narration by Sierra Grace, and Tristan Josiah, capturing the characters' personalities, and their searing chemistry, bringing the story to life. Bounty was a highly enjoyable listen, one I strongly recommend. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Brilliant

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline was very good with fascinating characters. These beasts are full of surprises and seem to bond to the women very easily. Excellent action throughout. Fantastic performance from both Sierra and Tristan.

Exciting and addictive

I loved this book, and couldn't put it down, and I was disappointed when I finished. The characters were well rounded and believable, the world building was fantastic and the plot was intriguing. I liked FMC Danica she was tenacious, and didn't let anything keep her down, I did feel she was a bit too stubborn. I can't wait for book 2, this is a series I really want to follow, the narration was wonderful and expressive.

Audiobook not to be missed!

Fantastic start to this series, loving the silent, brooding hero (picturing Khal Drogo G.O.T. in my mind) and the independent, sassy heroine, lots of action going on in the story and plenty of steam coming out of my ears, and it leads nicely into book 2 in this series. I particularly liked and very much enjoyed the way the narrators told the story, were even if it wasn't their characters chapter they still fulfilled their male or female parts. Highly recommend listening to this book. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A must read for sure!!

Such an awesome book, I laugh and I got sucked into the stories and stay up late listing to it. I like the world it started to build in this book, loved the connection between Dania and K’alvek, very well written, the story itself is very engaging making you want to listen till the end. I totally stalk them on social media to see when their next book is released! Do not miss out on this series because you may have been swayed by negative reviews. These books are amazing!!! Definitely recommend it.

Very Interesting!

It was a slow start to catch my interest, but I decided to keep listening and I am glad I did. This novel has strong female characters which I love. The constant damsel in distress does get old. I LOVE a woman who can kick ass and take names! The plot thickens throughout this novel and leaves you wanting to know more. There seems to be several hurdles that will have to be cleared up throughout the series and I can't wait to see how it does. I want the next book yesterday! I want to see the series unfold. It is well worth the credit. As for the Narrators, well, you couldn't have chosen a better pair. I do not usually leave a 5 star overall review, but his book was definitely 5 stars. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Bounty

Danica is the captain of her own spaceship with an all-female eclectic bounty hunter crew. They have Max onboard (who had a bounty of her head). Danica disguises her as one of her crew when bad guys (other bounty hunters) board her ship. Danica leads them to believe that the person they are looking for is a man. The bad guys end up knocking out everyone on board. When the wake, the engines are on fire and they end up crash landing on a sand planet. Danica goes out with one of her crew and they get separated. Along comes Kalvek to spy on the other bad people who live on the planet. He is trying to get revenge on his father’s killers. He comes across Danica who he realizes is his mind mate. A lot happens in this book and it was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tana Stone did a nice build up before Danica and Kalvek get intimate. He takes her back to his village to get food and water before venturing out to find her ship and crew. Within his tribe, there are baddies—like his mother’s mate. This is a great start to the series. The story has lots of action. The ending is a nice set up for the next book. I am looking forward to finding out what happens to Max now that the bad guys have her. Sierra Grace and Tristan Josiah did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A Sci-Fi Romance!

This is the first book in the Barbarians of the Sand Planet Series, a Sci-Fi Romance. This is a great introduction to the series. Danika and K'alvek's story is fun, entertaining, action packed and fast-paced. The world building is well done, interesting and intriguing. Sierra Grace and Tristan Josiah did a great job with the narration. Now, I am looking forward to listen to Captive, the next book in the Series.

Disappointing

I had high hopes but this one just lacks story. Claimed by the Horde King is a better option if you like this genre. The writing felt juvenile. The male narrator was soooooo bad. The voices he chose...just so bad. Very predictable and just not much here.

great start to the series

Space pirates steal their bounty and strand the all female bounty hunter group. I enjoyed seeing Danica's one track mind broaden its' horizons to K'alvek and a possible future. The barbarians ate ruthless and relentless and keep thwarting the bounty hunter group. And the smexy time is scorching. I'd love to follow up with the next book. Riveting action. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a great job.

First Book In New Series..Excellent Start

What women wouldn’t love to read/listen to a story of an all women crew of bounty hunters. Strong, independent, brave and intelligent. Then meeting up with aliens who are intelligent and find their mates by mind sharing. Both the hero and heroine are fighting their independence and goals prior to meeting...can they find a shared middle ground Interesting characters, hot scenes..a number of interesting subplots...Fun, interesting and well narrated. I received a free audiobook for an honest and voluntary review.

I just don’t know

I really don’t know how I feel about this story. The main characters were ok but I didn’t feel a connection with them. Some of the other women seemed to have a more interesting back story. I don’t think I would mind listening to theirs. It’s taken me a while to finish this story and I’m happy it’s over. I don’t want to sound mean but that’s the feeling I had when the last word was spoken.

Ok

If you are into new alien world adventures then this will do. If you are looking for romance then you will be disappointed because of lack of character and relationship development. Overall, the story is ok. Performance of narrators were a bit stiff.
