About this listen
Kidnapped then released deep in the woods, Brandi is on a harrowing run for her life, hunted by beasts straight out of a horror movie. But there's an even bigger, more vicious creature in the woods - the deadly werewolf who saves her life. Jason is much more than a man, dangerous and intimidating, and Brandi still finds herself wanting every unbelievably sexy inch of him.
When he investigates the desperate screams near his secluded cabin, Jason's shocked to find his own kind hunting a human - but he ends up even more stunned when he accidentally triggers a mating heat in the beautifully lush woman he saved. Overwhelmed with lust, Jason takes her, bites her, binds her to him forever....
Now he just has to break the news to Brandi.

Unfortunately the narrating let this down for it to be a wonderful listen, especially in the first few chapters.
I will look out for more books written by Kele and Laurann but will need to think long and hard before deciding to purchase if Jessee is narrating.
Maybe with a bit more practice she will be much better at narrating but for this book she let down my listing pleasure
Great storyline - really bad narrating

Laurann Dohner is an auto buy author for me so reading this book was a no brainer for me. Her team up with Kele Moon has produced a really good start to a new series. I enjoyed this book a lot. Actually at this point I’ve listened to it 4x since I bought it almost 5 years ago (I suck at writing reviews in a timely manner). The world that the authors have created is interesting. The story grabbed my attention from the start and the way that the main characters came together physically at first was something that I’ve never come across before despite reading PNR for decades.
I only have one minor complaint about this book. Actually I guess it’s more about the were culture and how the FMC, Brandi, responded to it. Due to that unique situation that I previously mentioned the males in the wolf pack (one young one in particular) were a bit too sexually aggressive towards her for my taste. As a human woman new to pack life I would have expected Brandi to have made a bigger deal about it. She should’ve at least started a conversation. It ticked me off that there was a whole “boys will be boys” attitude about the incident.
The narrator very much pleased me with her performance. I liked the way she brought the story to life with her acting and the different voices that she used for the characters. Unfortunately her pacing was a bit on the slow side. Also it was uneven at times. Plus, she pronounced a tertiary character’s name wrong IMO. That bugged me.
Good Series Starter
