Summary

She’s been promised a dream wedding. The catch? She was abducted from Earth, and her groom is a hot alien warrior with a bad attitude.

Taken to a high-tech space station designed to entice human women, LA socialite Mandy is anything but impressed. She’s not falling for their holographic fantasy suites, their promise of a dream wedding, or their gorgeous, brawny warriors. Especially not the arrogant, hot-shot commander she’s been matched with. He may be used to being obeyed, but no way is she following his orders. She could care less that he's huge and ripped and drop-dead gorgeous. Right?

The last thing Dorn wants is a mate. As a Drexian commander tasked with defending his people from a menacing enemy, he has no use for a frail human mate. Even if they are his species’ last chance for survival. Especially not one as spoiled as her.

But unfortunately for him, he has no choice. Not if he wants to get back to his battleship and save both Earth and the Drexian race from extinction.

This stand-alone action romance novel features steamy scenes on a holographic fantasy space station, a high-strung alien wedding planner with a penchant for platform shoes, deadly aliens hell-bent on invading Earth, and smoking-hot Drexian warriors with extra erogenous zones who are equally determined to protect Earth.

If you like hot alien warriors, kick-ass Earth women, and steamy romance with a "happily ever after" and a few laughs, you’ll love Tamed, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series.

Spaced out wedding

Amusing romp in space for females abducted from earth for reproduction. Almost gave up on story after 1hr as the female lead is so tiresome and predictable but persisted and story got funnier and better becoming more of an adventure than just space porn. Dorn is not your expected Star Ship Commander; his lovable character brought to life very well by the excellent female narrator. If those pesky Chronoks meet the Markus Models, then that will be a battle worth listening to lol. At 7hrs long, it would be perfect to listen to on flight, keeping the other passengers interested to know just what you were listening to as you chuckle your way through the book. HEA? Some loose ends tied, but others left gaping ready for the next book in the series.

Tamed: hot aliens and hot-headed earth women

Fantastic (audio)book! Loved spitfire Mandy and the through-and-through alpha Dorn, they argue and fight their way to their HEA which had me grinning all the way through. The story is gripping with action, intrigue, lovable characters, lot's of steam and humour. The narrator did an excellent job bringing all the characters to life. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A great sci-fi alien romance

Tamed, the first book in the Tribute Brides Of The Drexian Warriors was a very enjoyable listen. The storyline is wonderfully written, well-paced, and steamy with fantastic world-building. The premise is a classic, Alien males mating with Earth women. Thre is a bit of twist, the Drexians Warriors are protecting Earth from other alien races. I really liked Dorn, the Drexian commander. He is very reluctant to take a bride but does so do to family obligations. Mandy is rich, spoiled, and somewhat of a brat; I had a difficult time connecting with her character. That being said, she does grow toward the end of the story. Excellent narration by Jodie Bentley, her portrayal of the characters was nicely done, bringing them to life. Tamed was definitely worth the listen.

Loved the story and the narration.

I have to say that I read this book a while ago so it's a given that I love the story, but hearing it has added so much to it! I love the way that Jodie Bentley has brought the characters to life. She is very easy to listen to and I could easily tell who is who. This is a great start to the series.

Enjoyable

Not the most likeable heroine at first but she grows on you. Same with the hero. This was an interesting premise with good secondary characters and a rich setting that is well described by the author. An enjoyable read.

Sizzling Alien Warrior Romance

It was my first audio book from this author . The story line and narration was very good. There is action, some suspense and sizzling romance. I am on to the next book. There is plenty of steam, action, drama, tension and emotion to keep you entertained and invested. All and all a very fun and very hot read. I thought the narrators did an great job in bringing this book to life. I definitely recommend this audio book. *I received this audio book in exchange for an honest review.*

Good But With Some Issues

This book left me with conflicting emotions. In the end I thought there was some, good, some bad and sadly quite a bit of wasted potential. As for the good: I liked the hero. Dorn was a warrior, alpha male that was focused on his duties to his family, species and world. He was hot and seemed like a decent guy. The heat level: Trust me when I say things get sizzling and steamy. The World: I found the setting intriguing. And Lastly: The Battle Of Wills. It was fun to see these two clash together. Now the bad: The heroine. Considering her situation you are inclined to feel for Mandy and I kind of did, or at least as much as I could because she was just so very unlikable. Privileged, spoilt and a straight-up brat, this character was very hard to take. Emotion: I felt that there was a lack of a real connection between the couple. Desire, yes. Attraction, yes. Love, not so much. So, in the end, I liked this book but felt some of its potential was squandered. I will certainly give other books in this series a chance because my most troubling issue was the heroine. The book is performed by a single narrator and I felt that they did a good job in bringing the story to life.

Erotica/Lady Porn with minimal SciFi

This is straight up Erotica with a bare bones storyline. I was more interested in the SciFi ARC than with the explicit sex scenes.  Lol, I'm a prude and see no reason why they couldn't be married 1st. Anyway, Mandy & Dorn have interesting character traits and I wish the two were fleshed out more. Haha, they were definitely in the flesh zone.  World building was great, although, visualizing the bomber wasn't so clear. The ending wasn't as satisfying as I would have liked. But, it certainly does lend itself towards reading the next book...for me it would mostly be for the storyline. I'm personally not into all of the pornographic scenes. Sooo, a tall star because of her story telling skills. :-)  My star ratings include these 5 elements: 1★ story line 1★ engaging characters 1★ use of world building/descriptions 1★ the ending 1★ narration or editing "I was given this free review copy/audiobook at *MY* request and have voluntarily left this review."

Tamed

Enjoyed the story, but the narrator left some room for improvement. She sounded a little to whiny for my liking. But I would read the next book in the series, as I did get a chuckle from this one

Steamy, fun read.

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased . Tana Stone and is off to a great start with this new series. This story is filled with action, alien battles, finding yourself in an alien world, adapting to a new society, creating problems for aliens, assessing what you want out of life, and some explosive sex scenes. Dorn is a fierce alien warrior that is loyal to his family and people. Mandy is a spoiled rich girl that is disowned by her family and then given to aliens. It is funny and sad to see her develop info a woman that really takes a look at herself and shows so much improvement. However she does still challenge Dorn. There will be several funny moments in this story. The narrator does an excellent job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. She gives them distinctive voices and brings them to life. I enjoyed listening to her. I highly recommend this Audible book.

OMG!

OMG! This is my first time reading or listening to a book from Tana Stone. Tamed is the first book in the Tribute Brides of the Dexian Warriors. Dorn is a Drexian commander who never wanted to take a bride. He’s annoyed when his brother forces him to take a bride. Mandy is a socialite with a rich father. Mandy was not falling for their holographic fantasy suites, their promise of a dream wedding, or their gorgeous, brawny warriors. I love the chemistry between Mandy and Dorn. OMG, I even loved the name The Love Boat. This is one series that you would want to READ! I can't wait to read more from this author. Keep up the amazing work! I find that Jodie Bentley did an amazing job with the voices in this one. I'm ready to listen to more from this narrator.

The Story was good but......

I love a good Alien romance but the Female MC was super annoying for about 2/3 of this book. She does become somewhat likable in the end and in the subsequent books. The story was good and I liked that they teased the next story at the end of each book. The narrator was great as she was telling the story but when she did individual voices it was a little iffy. Overall, the book was good and definitely good to read for context into the next books.

Loved it so much, I got the rest of the series!

Dang, I was super surprised by this book. The author is new to me but anyone who can do a Sci-fi romance and mix it with The Bard's The Taming Of The Shrew gets my vote! The whole time I was like "this story seems awfully familiar?" and then I looked at the name of the book and it just clicked. I think being in on the thread just made it that much more enjoyable and I totally recommend the series. I loved it so much, I bought the rest. Not sure if the rest also have a theme but just the fact that the first book did, got me hooked! I also loved the characters and the narrator did a great job with all the voices and kept each character very distinct. 5 stars!!!

Great start

The characters and their personalities match them perfectly and the narrator did a great job with them all... The plot and the storyline kept me pulled into the book
