Summary

Recently jobless and homeless, now I’ve been kidnapped by aliens. I thought my day couldn’t get any worse, until the disgusting Orkun warlords who abducted me tell me I’m meant to be a “bride” for their commander.

No! No freaking way.

But before I can figure out a way off this spaceship, I find myself caught in the middle of an uprising by their other captives: a breathtakingly masculine gladiator race called Kalixians. With their bronze skin, horns, and rippling muscles, the Kalixians look like gods.

Their leader Tordax is the most stunning of all. His touch sets off fireworks in my body, and I’m drawn to him in a way I can’t understand - especially considering we don’t even speak the same language.

But am I really safer now, or have I just traded one captor for another? What does this powerful alien want with me? And why does he keep looking at me like I’m his?

Claimed is a full-length stand-alone sci-fi romance featuring hot alien gladiators with huge horns, a sassy heroine who finds her courage in space, and a possessive alpha hero who would do anything to protect his fated mate. If you like sexy aliens, sweeping adventure, and steamy romance, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliff-hanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

Great start

This is a great start to what looks like a promising series. A good base to start from with good characters. Excellent narration from both narrators. Looking forward to the next book.

Great

I really enjoyed this book! There are other similar stories but this one resonates and is one of the best. The characters are real and relatable. The narration was superb from both! Will look for more from this author and these narrators.

Fantastic start of a series!

I loved listening to this audiobook! In my opinion I found this book to be extremely well written and narrated and very entertaining. This storyline has action, suspense, intrigue, adventure, and romance. I found that this author has a wonderful imagination and tells a hell of a story.
The narrator’s do a fantastic job with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters. I found this to be a fabulous story and can’t wait for in this series.

Solid 3.5 stars

I think the story was a little drawn out but I think it worked in the end.
I wanted to know more about the alien customs to get a better understanding or their world and how they will react to certain things.
All the woman even Rose was very calm about everything once they saw what could happen to them. Which you except that made it more real to me.

Overall, it was a good story and I will be listening to the others in this series.

Not even close to being anything original

The writing is just beyond blah. Most of these 4+ ratings, I'm sure are from people that haven't explored the sci-fi romance genre as well as some. I swear if you've read a few before and are as tired of the lack of originality as I am, just skip this one, because there's absolutely nothing really different/interesting about it. It checks all the boxes, sexy alien cover, check. Woman kidnapped from earth, check. Some alien see's her and OMG, "she just so happens to be my mate!" and now they're both in ridiculous insta-lust-love within the hour, check. The male is trying to force her into being with him, but she' s so busy self monologueing then actually speaking up for herself, because she's a horny, hopeless door mat, check. Then the rest is just fluffy filler story no- one really cares about enough to finish, check. Don't get me wrong, I've found some great ones in the genre that actually have interesting things happen as opposed to the whole story focused on mindless insti-love. I've also found some good ones with this same premise, but have done way better in making the character's more relatable and like-able enough to care for. This one just fails to execute this well, so I gave up on it. I only gave it a shot because of CJ Grey's hot narration. Yowsa!

Nope. Don't do it.

The scenario begins with the abduction of female humans by alien males who are freaky and frightening. More aliens arrive, also captured. They are intended to battle in an arena. The entire time this is happening, the female protagonist is standing there, naked but surprisingly, evidently not all that afraid. Really. She's ruminating about stuff her mother said, about what's going to happen later, about one of the fellow's loose loin cloth, wondering how she could be turned on at a time like this....yes, evidently she's really a knock out in the looks department but really, really a ding bat. It's a good thing the aliens took her, earth doesn't need her in the gene pool.
Here's a tip for self published, would be authors; when writing an adventure, put some action in the plot. Yes, right at the beginning.
As long as I'm giving free advice, please try to imagine what you might reasonably be feeling in a terrifying situation. I'm guessing its not horny.
I'm turning this back into Audible. Its not worth a credit or my time.

Rose and Tordax

Ok, so what happens when your guy dumps you, you lose your job, about to be evicted from your residence. Not wanting to go home to Mom (who seems unsupportative) you go to a loan shark that has no problem selling you to aliens for profit. That sounds about right. LOL. Sorry this story was what I needed to get through my reading slump. A good old insta love with fluff. Sorry, sci-fi fluff. There is action to the story and romance. I recommend it.

Crazy/weird “Heroine”

The heroine is scared/terrified in the middle of being molested by a disgusting monster (in her words) and suddenly she sees a sexy gladiator fighting and gets turned on??? I’m sorry but this is just disturbing and non-believable. If anything, a person about to be raped by a stinky monsters would NOT get in the mood to have sex with another stranger. God! This is distasteful! I could not finish this book.

Hot sexy aliens,strong women!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. I really enjoyed this book. Tordax is a strong alien warrior with a caring and loving heart. Rose is a strong woman who is intelligent and willing to fight along side Tordex. She discovers why the women were taken captives by aliens. The author gave her characters such powerful and loving personalities. She writes a story containing action, fierce battles, alien abduction and alien rescue, aliens hoping to save their race, and steamy love scenes. The narrators nailed their narration and brought this story to life. They skillfully brought out the emotions and personalities of these characters. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Awful

By chapter 9, no real story, just formulaic, very sexist erotica. Would have skipped over the idiotic parts but then there'd be very little story left. Erotica, set in space. Uninteresting and severely lacking. The description sounded hopeful.... the book did not live up to it. She's naked for the 1st nine chapters. I don't know beyond that. Goes into a room that had sheets, etc.... and chooses to stay naked in front of a fully dressed alien man despite hoping he won't take advantage of her. Eye-roll city. A loss from chapter 2 onward.

Great Addition to the Genre!

Another fantastic addition to the scifi romance genre! Although similar to other books, I really enjoyed Rose. She’s strong, but still is in touch with her emotions, which I enjoy, because we don’t all face alien abduction with a stiff upper lip and a strong spine. Tordax may have been a little light for me, I enjoy a darker hero, but he was so loving to Rose. It was easy for me to fall in love with him as well. A well thought out book, and I can’t wait to listen to more.

What a great new series!!!!!

Wow, get ready friends this is one you want to listen to. I've read each of the books in this series and they keep getting better and better. Of course I couldn't wait to listen to the first one and the narrator was really great. She nailed the way our hero, Tordex, mispronounced Rose's name at first and that had to be hard. The romance is super hot and the whole situation grabs your attention from the very first chapter. Our Rose is in a bad place on Earth and ends up in a worse place. The vile Orkuns are truly disgusting and make you want to gag. But our warriors are everything you could want in a 'knight in shining armor'..... Minus all the armor. I mean all of it. And our girl is not only sweet and kind but she's smart and brave. Love that. Love the writers that give us amazing ladies instead of the 'poor pitiful me' type. Please give this a try. It's worth every credit and you won't regret it. Can't wait for the next one.

A good amount of turns and twists.

I read the other reviews saying that this book was cookie cutter and horrible. C J Grey could read the phone book to me anytime. Meg price had such wonderful passion and her range of voices was stupendous. The storyline was a conglomeration of many other storylines. I enjoyed the turns and twists. as always aliens are After Earth women but we all know Earth Girls Are Easy. there is always a bad guy or bad set of aliens. the heroes always win and get the girls. the little surprises in this story are what give the book its panache. all in all a good read.
