Summary

One badass mercenary. Four sexy-as-sin rebels. Bound together by powerful magic and dangerous desire....

In a world ruled by magic, surviving without it means I have to be quicker, smarter, and fiercer than the magical beings that run this city.

I get by just fine working as a bounty hunter...until what should be a routine take-down of an incubus and his buddies turns into a major clusterf#ck when something inside me goes haywire.

Turns out, I do have magic. And it's so powerful, it's bonded four insanely gorgeous men to me.

They're part of an underground rebellion fighting back against the magical elite, and they claim they need my help.

But if I agree to fight alongside them, I may be risking more than my life. I could lose my heart too.

Bound by Magic is the first book in the Magic Awakened trilogy, a slow-burn reverse harem romance featuring an ass-kicking heroine, magical intrigue, and four hot book boyfriends you won't have to choose between.

Loved all the twists & turns with great narration

Heather Firth narrates this beautifully. I forgot that I was listening to her and just got sucked into the story.

I loved all the twists and turns in this book. And I enjoyed watching the characters as they dealt with not only each other but the things going on around them. It kept me engaged all the way through and I enjoyed the world building. Really enjoyed it.

Assassination Gone Wrong

This was an amazing start to the Magic Awakened series! Lana is a Blighted, a person without magic, mercenary, but was recently hired to assassinate a Gifted, someone with magic. Things don’t go according to plan and she ends up finding out that she’s actually a Gifted and her magic has bound her to the man she was supposed to assassinate and his three friends. She finally gets the chance to do something to take down the Gifted who have oppressed the Blighted and she jumps at the chance. I loved watching Lana go on her journey of discovering who she truly is and how to wield her powers. Her relationship with each guy is different, has their issues, and are set at different paces. Aiko is an incubus who seems a little standoffish, Fenris, my favorite, is a wolf shifter with a protective and wild side, Jae is an intellectual mage with a sweet side, and Corin is a piece of her past and heart that she once left behind. This book was filled with a rebellion, snark, unique characters, and a twist at the ends that begs you to keep reading on in the series!
Heather did a fantastic job with this narration! She used different voices for each character and her male voices were done very well. I love that she could bring every character and their personality to life with her performance!

Great super slow burn romance

This is a great story! There is a ton of character building and the plot is unique. There is a lot of mystery and intrigue. The romance between the female MC and her guys is on a very low simmer. This book is more about building trust, world building and progressing the plot line. You've got to be in it for the long haul with this one!

Heather Firth did a great job with her narration. I enjoyed listening to her and her male and female voices were good. She was able to bring enough variation to help make each character unique.

Awesomely great slow burn with first class world building.

What great world building. This is the second book by this author I’ve read, and I’ve loved them both. Although it’s a reverse harem, there is no intimate encounters in this book. It’s more about her getting to know herself and developing feelings for the four. It’s a great slow burn. I’m pretty sure the next books in the series will be more sexy. So if your looking for something that’s very graphic, I’m pretty sure just wait. But don’t skip this one, it does a fine job of world building and setting things up. The narrator was new to me. I liked most of her renditions of characters voices except, Christine. It’s great that she changed her tone for the different voices it gave them personality. It does leave ya hanging, so be prepared to want book two. Overall, I think this is a great first in the series with solid narration.

Amazing book with a bit of Mystery!!

This book is a paranormal series. It’s definitely a excellent well written and thought out storyline. There is a great death in the past which set the seen in the story and why people are scarce around their own people. Lana Crow doesn’t trust people because of the way she grew up.
This story had me on the edge of my set. The story has a lot of twists and turns. It made me laugh out loud and I definitely think you will love it as much as I do.
The narrator is absolutely magnificent!! Heather Firth has a way of bringing the characters and their emotions to life. I love listening to her telling of the story!
I definitely recommend this book!

Excellent Beginning!

This paranormal series is off to a great start! The plot is interesting and the characters are all strong but each is unique. This is a slow burn in that there is a lot of apparent chemistry between Lana and the men but it is not acted on, yet. The big surprise for this reverse harem is that there is no sex in this first book, but don't let that dissuade you; because the writing is excellent and it is supposed to get way hotter in the next book. New to this author, but I already like her style! Excited for book 2!!!

I've listened to a number of titles narrated by Heather Firth and she has given an excellent performance in each book! I am super impressed with her versatility as a narrator in the romance subgenres. This is the first fantasy/paranormal project of hers and she did an amazing job bringing these different species of characters to life. Amazing! I will continue to listen to her work in the future.

We truly need half Stars

This was a clean magical story, while our heroine does end up having 4 love interest because of a magical bond there where no sexy times in explicit detail so this one is safe just know language is present.

This was such an amazing creation of a universe we'll written into such detail I enjoyed getting to know the powers, as our heroine learned to control them, the main focus of this story is a political stand against the non magical oppressed. For this book I wouldn't necessarily label it romance since it was very light to my opinion but ut was an adventure non the less.

Well written but predictable

This wasn't a bad read, it was just very predictable. The writing is great and I really enjoyed the world building.

Lana is supposed to be a mercenary/assassin but I don't see how she'd be capable of such a job. Her jobs go wrong due to her lack of planning. She can't be very good at her job with that incompetence.

I always roll my eyes when the MC decides everyone's in danger with her nearby so clearly she has to run away instead of actually deal with it. Because that'll solve everything right :/ I think it would be quite suspicious for someone to run away right after being (rightly) accused of being a spy, instead the guys just say it upset them and don't do it again. Ugh. There's more that bothers my about Lana and her guys but i'll leave it there.

If you're ok with those or can look past what are admittedly relatively minor points, then you might really enjoy this. The writing is fantastic and the narration by Heather Firth was good.

Great Beginning

This was a story of a heroine who is learning to deal with magic she didn't know she had while having a bond with four different types of men. Its a great start to a series but would have loved a bit more romance. The narrator was amazing had to listen to the story all the way through without pause. Can't wait for the next book.

Excellent start!

I've loved all of Sadie Moss's books that I've read so far, so it isn't a surprise that I really enjoyed the start to this series. We start out with blighted Lana, a bounty-hunter who thought she always lacked magic, discovering she has magic after all, after a job gone wrong. And not just magic – magic so incredible that she can't contain it, and she ends up bonding herself to four VERY different men. It's a bit of a slow burn at this point, but it seem to be building up to some romance and I can't wait to see what comes. Looking forward to reading the next book! Narration was fantastic!

Amazing

I loved this book. It was an amazing beginning to this series! The FMC is awesome! The guys are a little rough around the edges at first, but warm, some more than others, through the storyline. I’m sure they will continue to warm as the series continues. I loved the action and surprises that the storyline offered. I loved the narrator’s voices and tone. She did an amazing job narrating this amazing story by Sadie Moss.

Great start to this series

Lana always thought she was normal and didn’t have magic. I loved how this story started and just kept it going from there. I loved this mercenary and her guys. The four men were all so different and yet so amazing. I enjoyed that Lana knew one of them from before and due to this magical bond she accidentally made now has a second chance with him. This one was rather chaste though there is the build up of sexual tension to come. I liked seeing her get to learn about the different magics she has a connection with and learning to control her own magic. I want to know who and why someone did what they did to Lana and what is going to happen next to her. I am also curious to see what will happen with Lana and her guys. I can see some of it developing with some. There is a lot more to this world and the magic and I want to know more. I can’t wait for the next book.

Magic and mercenaries

The start of bound by magic is off to a great start. We see the world of the treatment of non magic folk to the lavish world of magic folks. Lana thought she lacked magic until and assassination gone wrong. I love how we see her make connections with her men and the slow build up of romance.
