Summary

The Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, holds the fate of the world in his hands in the New York Times bestselling first novel in the Witcher series that inspired the Netflix show and video games.

NAMED ONE OF FORBES' GREATEST BOOK SERIES OF ALL TIME 2024

For more than a hundred years, humans, dwarves, gnomes and elves lived together in relative peace. But times have changed, the uneasy peace is over and now the races are fighting once again - killing their own kind and each other.

Into this tumultuous time is born a child of prophecy, Ciri, surviving heiress of a bloody revolution, whose strange abilities can change the world - for good, or for evil...

As the threat of war hangs over the land, Geralt the Witcher must protect Ciri from those who are hunting the child for her destructive power.

But this time, Geralt may have met his match.

Great

Great, like the last two. But I don't like how they changed dandelion back to (dandilion) instead of dan dee lion. But hey, can't have everything in life right? Some other things got a bit lost in translation like Yennefer calling Ciri an "ugly duckling" being translated to "ugly one". But overall definitely worth buying.

Ciri's book possibly?

Great book. I can't wait to listen to the other books of the Witcher. I would like to hear more about how Witcher's are made. This book seems to hone in to Ciri's character where we begin to learn more about her talents and I liked this book very much. Lots of action and always kept me wanting to listen more.

So fun, and I loved the voices the narrator used.

Peter Kenny brought an amazing book alive with his words, accents, and storytelling enthusiasm. Whether it were the French nobles, northern kings, or British voices.

A nice view into the past for gamers who love the witcher series.

After playing the witcher 3 I played the first 2 then started reading the 2 short story books. The voice actor reading this book is top notch, the only other audio books I have listened to are the Harry Potter ones read by Steven fry and these are on par with his reading. The story of this book is truly amazing Geralts obvious fatherly love for Cirila is not hidden in this book nor is Yennifers motherly love. I would recommend this to anyone who has played the witcher games.

Great for any Witcher fan!

I've played all the games but never thought about the books - for any fan of the games who are thinking twice, all I can say is I was hooked after the first chapter. Now for the next one!
