Having listened to the first book in this series I couldn't wait to start the second and it didn't disappoint. I love the way she writes and although there are hints of where the story is heading, you are never quite sure where the story is going to take you. Can't wait to start the next one 😁

Narrator didn’t know how to say some pretty standard words and that got annoying. Story was ok though. Guessed it pretty early on though.

I’ve struggled through Books 1 to 3, I like the stories but can’t bear the narrator, she does 4 accents, the majority of the characters have a hard northern accent which is odd for lifelong residents of the fens, the rest either have a London accent but sound thick or have a prissy ‘posh’ voice, the Irish accent is the worst one I’ve ever heard and made me laugh out loud; all this in a fast monotone with horrendous pronounciation of basic words. I listened to these books for free, if I’d paid I would have wanted a refund. I’ll read the rest myself as I see this narrator is used for the whole series,
