Love the series of these books but the narration drives me crazy, maybe I have been spoilt listening to Richard A narrating the Jackman series.

This was well worth the wait. This was book 14 in the series and it did not disappoint. This was a tough investigation for Nikki, Joseph and the team. Again they shown a great ability to work well together and work out the leads. The book was full of twists that made it action packed. I hope there will be more as this is a gripping series.

I have listened to all 14 books so far and am now missing all of the characters - fingers crossed for a book 15 - excellent narration as always.

I’ve given 5 stars because I love Joy Ellis and all the books in this series as well as the Jackman and evans series. I think this was my least favourite so far though. They basically just followed a man round who did all the work and then he wasn’t really a threat by the end, it felt lacking the usually twists and turns and a bit anticlimactic. Usually there are so many things happening and all tie up which I didn’t see coming. I also felt that there wasn’t much moving forward for Nikki and Joseph since they got together and moved in, they’re just stuck. I’m hoping the next book has then finding a way to get married.
