Summary

A pact between worlds. The search for a true human mate. A sci-fi fairy tale comes true....

Once upon a time, the Trilyn made contact with the people of Earth. In return for taking seven fertile females as brides for their seven princes, they would share their alien technology and enable Earth to create intergalactic space ships.

Prince Gardax, the eldest of the seven princes, has endured years of searching for the human female who can bear his children. Two years of parties, genetic compatibility scanners, and failed attempts at finding the one woman who was meant for him.

In despair that he will never find his mate among the glittering party guests, Prince Gardax begins the search in earnest, and finds his mate in the most unlikely of places - the palace kitchens.

Amy Allan was just looking for a job, anything to ensure the survival of herself and her baby sister. Working in the great palace of the eldest Trilyn prince seemed like a good idea at the time, and the only option available for a war-refugee with a toddler in tow. But with a backbreaking workload and a nightmare boss, hoping for something better seems futile.

When the devastatingly handsome alien prince bursts into the kitchens demanding his mate, Amy’s last shred of hope disappears as her domineering boss, Darla, steps in to claim the prince for herself. Darla will stop at nothing to become a princess, even if it means threatening Amy and her sister. Can Amy defeat her nemesis and win the prince’s heart? Or will she lose everything she’s fought so hard to keep?

Alien Prince Charming is the first book in the Trilyn Alien Fairy Tales series. This is a science-fiction romance story featuring a stubborn working-class human female and a dominant alien prince in search of his mate. Each book in this pause-resisting science-fiction series has no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending!

Chemistry vs Science

I liked the concept of this story but was astonished at some things the prince never questioned and the lengths that others went. But despite that I enjoyed the instant chemistry between the main characters and the world the author built. I hope to read of the prince's brothers finding their mates as well. The narrator was new to me but did a fantastic job bringing the whole story to life. I received this audiobook by my request in exchange for an honest review from Audiobook Boom.

interesting book

Overall a enjoyable book with a good story. The narrator made a few mistake that made me go huh but it did not take way from the story. I felt the bond that Amy shared with her sister and how Amy took care of her little sister. While the prince goes back and forth for a while finally letting love win out was annoying and yet sweet. I over all enjoyed this book and bought the second book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book.

At first the narrator annoyed me but once I got used to his voice I couldn't stop listening.

Fun listen!

Loved this spin on Cinderella. Great characters and story with plenty of twists and heat. Fantastic narrator who really brought the characters to life. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Sci-fi Fairytale Romance

The author does a really great job mixing the elements of sci-fi with romance in this easy listen. The story line was intriguing and flowed smoothly from start to finish. Interestingly, the author was also able to capture the feeling of a fairytale. Some parts of the story were anticipated but there was still an unexpected twist. There are also a couple of steamy scenes.

The narrator did a pretty good job, overall. I do think there could have been better differentiation in voice when the point of view changed from Amy to Gardax. I had to pay close attention to whose point if view we were in and it wasn't always obvious when it had switched.

Not what I expected

The story started off well enough, but half way through it felt like it dragged on. I wasn’t a big fan of Amy from the beginning and still wasn’t up to the end. The only good quality I found was her relationship with her sister. There was also way too much internal monologue that I had a hard time paying attention at times.

I liked the idea of a device that could determine the correct genetics and the failure of Gardox's device right before he finds his match.

If it wasn’t for the narrator I probably wouldn’t have finished. I enjoy the changing of tones for characters. Though the two main characters did sound very similar making it hard at times to know who was speaking.

Pitifully Let Down

I had high hopes for my first try with this author and it’s now my only try. The only intense feel I got for this story was HOW MUCH I HATED THE VILLAIN. The quantity of time I spent raging at the stupidity of the heroine still boggles me! Literally had two encounters with the guy before she’s madly in love? And they weren’t even drawn out events where they actually got to know each other in-depth or even kissed.

Don’t waste your book credits on this read. The author needs to step up her game in building character interactions

Husband from space

Who doesn't like an alien romance. And this one was quite entertaining and held my attention no problem.
It was a decent size, relatable characters and a wicked villan. Recommended listening with the narration done well.

A fantastic Sci-fi romance!

I definitely recommend this book! The story is extremely well written and narrated. There is one problem with the audiobook, I believe it had a glitch. It repeatedly repeats some phrases in the story. The narrator does a great job with the characters and voices of each character. It’s a fabulous storyline that is unique and different from other books, but extremely interesting!

Sweet Prince Charming Story

So this was a very unique take on the classic Prince Charming love story. lol At first I was hesitant about if I would enjoy this book. I think the cover really didn't make me want to give this a fair chance. But, as they say "never judge a book by it's cover" and in this case they were correct.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. Even though I wanted to yell at the characters in my car while driving to work LOL. I thought that story was well written and the narration was great. I really enjoyed this. I recommend to anyone that love a sweet romance with a twist of Sci Fi

nice twist on Cinderella

I was given this free audiobook for the purpose of rating and reviewing. The post apocalyptic earth being helped by aliens made a nice setting. A wicked boss instead of stepmother was artfully handled. I hated her more than the original stepmonsters. Overall a good start for a series about aliens looking for love.

I must admit I skipped over this audiobook a few times, because I'm not a fan of rewritten fairy tales, but this did not feel like it at all. The world building and character development was perfectly done. This is a post apocalyptic earth with aliens looking for females to repopulate their planet due to a virus infection rendering their own females infertile. Yes, been there done that got the proverbial celestial T-shirt. But as I said it was really well done and the narrator did a fantastic job in his performance. I listened at 1.25 speed.

I will definitely listen to more of his work. (Small audio issues at ch17 1:37 and ch12 3:24)
Prince Gardax, the eldest of the seven princes searches for a true human mate. He has a scanner newly developed for each prince.
Woman are invited to big parities on their spaceship for a meet and scan.
Amy Allan works in the kitchen and is secretly in love with the Prince Gardex. He follows the scanner into the kitchen one night and a real Cinderella fairy tale is born.

The story is nothing like the real Cinderella, but we do have an evil boss with an agenda of her own.
We have a HEA and we get to know the other Princes so they each have a tale to tell.

I do recommend this book if you are in the mood for a Sci-Fi Romance. No abductions, not too much sexy times.
Happy Listening
