Summary

The race is on. The last remnants of humankind fight to maintain their very existence. Everything is at stake as they push to preserve their homeland. Forward bases have been established, but they have a long ways to go if they’re to carve out a sanctuary. Not only do the survivors have millions of infected to worry about, but there is a ticking time bomb that they have to diffuse.

The western forces have secured an island, but it’s not truly theirs. The air is contaminated by the millions of infected. Without enough firepower to eliminate so many, they’ll have to come up with another solution before an accident allows the virus to infiltrate their ranks.

In the midst of battles that could swing either way, a 10-year-old girl cycles through the middle of nowhere. Alone and scared, she pedals on lonely highways, searching for help. Within her, she carries either the hope of salvation or the potential downfall of humanity.

John O'Brien does it again!

After John's " A New World series". I never thought he could match it again with another zombie like series. Yet, he has with the Ares Virus three book series. Well worth purchasing for anyone who loves apocalyptic fiction. And, to top it all, the narration by Mark Gagliardi brings the story and characters to life, only in the way Mark can.
