Summary

New job, new city: Mason hopes both will lead to him escaping burnout as a ballet dancer. Not living out of a suitcase anymore is a bonus. His new life gets off to a steamy start when he encounters his new neighbor, David. Things soon become complicated when Mason turns up for his first day at BalletEast, to discover that David is not only his choreographer, but the man who inspired him to take up dancing in the first place.

With two divorces and a string of failed relationships behind him, David has no intention of promising "forever" to anyone. But when he meets Mason, he falls hard and fast for the enigmatic young dancer. As David becomes more serious about Mason, he wants to open his lover’s eyes to the kinks that he enjoys.

Whilst the two men are navigating the early stages of their romance, Mason is facing immense pressures in the rehearsal studios that threaten to dampen his natural enthusiasm for life. Will David’s love and support be enough to help Mason continue to hold his head high and dance like he’s never danced before?

*Contains explicit language and sex scenes, including mild, consensual BDSM*

A good story

I enjoyed Mason and David's story more than Adam and Luc, mostly because I thought their dynamic was better. Mason being Tigger on speed and David the down to earth Dom that grounds him with his mere presence. The attraction was instant but the feelings weren't, and it made their story more real. Going through their initial hook ups, to bullying at work and figuring out what limits to push in their growing relationship all worked. Their interactions were fun and Mason's stubbornness and some times bratty behaviour only added to it. I thought the narrating was good, it was comfortable to listen to over time.

Fantastic!

This was a fantastic, hot and steamy, kinky story! Mason is a ballet dancer new to the company BalletEast. David is the choreographer for the company. They had a steamy one night stand before they even knew who each other was. They begin a discrete relationship, of course things have a way of coming out. I loved this story so much!! I loved that we got to hear from Adam again from the previous story!! Neil Macfarlane did a fantastic job on the narration!!

A Dance for You

A Dance for You is a sweet story, with all the feels, about Mason, a dancer, and David, a much older choreographer. They happen to be neighbors and work together. I love their story as they grew in their relationship, as David introduces Mason to his kinkier side as a Dom. I love how wonderful Mason's family is, how excepting his parents are of all their children. This is a sweet make you feel good story and I highly recommend it. Narrator Neil Macfarlane does an amazing job.

Loved it

I first listened to A dance for two by Colette and was hooked on the ballet. Then I listened to A dance for you and I was addicted. I love Colette's writing and her portrayal of all the main characters. A dance for you follows Mason who starts a fling with his neighbour until he realises that he is also his choreographer at his new dance company. As you can imagine tensions rise as they try to keep things secret but planning is afoot. David is not also a choreographer but a Dom and takes the time he has with Mason to introduce him to the lifestyle. Slowly they build their relationship and their love and in the end they overcome their obstacles. It was only the second time I listened to Neil Macfarlane but I think he did an excellent job.

Love David & Mason

I love this story of David and Mason, they are spectacular together. I love that they meet before each knowing who the other is. It's a tough road for Mason at his new ballet troupe and I love that Mason was very supportive but not overbearing, he was able to keep their personal and professional relationship separate just like Mason wanted. The narrator did an incredible performance of the character voices and of the story itself. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often re-listening it's like an A 3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year. it's like a B

Great story and narration

A Dance for You by Colette Davison comes after A Dance for Two. I loved Mason when we met him in book one and wanted to get to know him more. Before I get too far into this review, I want to let you know that while this does comes after A Dance for Two, it can be read/listened to without needing to read the first book. It is a standalone. Now, let's get into the review. Story: 4.5 stars Mason has moved to a new city and joined a new troupe, but things are still not easy for him, especially when he is sleeping with the choreographer. The author has a way of bringing her characters and the scenes to life. When they are dancing, you can see it happening as you read. The characters are real and naturally flawed with their own doubts and troubles, and they are interesting to read out. They are multi-faceted. Along with that is a good story line with a good plot, and you have a great read. I will say that this book is very much character driven. I'm giving the story 4.5 stars. Narration: 4 stars I really liked Neil McFarlane's interpretation of this story. He brought each character to life, and made their voices different enough that we could tell who was talking. However, there were a few times when that separation wasn't as clear and I got slightly lost. Not too often though. Overall, he had the characters down, and he did a great job narrating. 4 stars. Overall: 4.5 stars I'm giving an overall rating of 4.5 stars to this book. An interesting story, a good narrator, and I highly suggest you one click this audio book today!

My favorite in the series so far!

4.5 Stars! I loved Mason from the start. He's sweet and hardworking, perhaps a little naive in thinking he could handle Kirk's bullying on his own, but still willing to stand up for himself and not depend on David or anyone else. It took me a bit longer to warm up to David, he was nice and treated Mason right, but he was very set in his ways. Despite the age gap, they fit very well together, especially since Mason was willing to bend a little and experiment and at least in that sense, David was very patient with him and willing to wait until Mason was ready to move forward. Even if I felt the progression as they included some BDSM elements to their relationship was a bit forced at times, the sex scenes were very hot and passionate. Neil McFarlane has a very pleasant voice and his British accent is swoon-worthy, even if his tone was monotonous at times and the different voices aren't always easily distinguishable. Still, I felt like he managed to bring a lot of emotion into the narration and I found myself tearing up at one point. Overall, this was a pretty good, sexy, enjoyable audiobook with some light angst thrown in for good measure and after reading the e-book and listening to the audio, I recommend if at all possible, to pick the audio or better yet, just get them both. LOL
