Wow
I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this story, it had so much feelings and was in some ways realistic.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues
Well described characters that’s developed in to different personalities
I jumped right in to the next audiobook in this duo.
It’s a cliffhanger and I don’t like that, but it was so great that I didn’t care (that could be because I had the next ready)
Narrator:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings and it added to the enjoyment of this story

Loved Amie and her two men
Unexpected is book 1 in the Island Duet by Alyne Hart and is narrated by Isabella Starr. I really wanted to like this one because I love a good MFM story, and I did enjoy the story. However, the narration just wasn’t my favorite. I liked her voice for Amie and for the internal monologues, but I had a harder time connecting to the male characters. I couldn’t really tell them apart, so I had to keep going back. All that being said, I will still listen to book 2, because while I didn’t 100% love the narration, the narration didn’t detract from the story, so it was still a good, solid listen. Book 1. Get book 2 ready
Book 1, get book 2 ready.
Wow I love this book. It’s sweet and kind of a slow burn. Some times they talk about the past and I got a little confused. You get a lot of happy times in this book. Best Friends pick the same woman to fall in love with. I think there are only two books in this series and I am ready for the next one now. I love the characters and their friendships. The narration is great.

Unexpected!

unexpected
I enjoyed this story more than I expected to. While I am not one for MFM the premise sounded really good in this one. I am glad I took the chance. This was so good. I liked the story line. The characters were well rounded and multi faceted. The narration was done well. It does end in a cliffhanger, and I can't wait for book 2.

Emotional ride
Amie is recovering from a bad marriage. Taking some time to help others while restoring herself, she goes to Kauai on to build homes. Here she meets Michael and Gabe. Each completely different, these two best friends hold qualities that Amie cannot resists. And they both find her alluring. But can she fall for both of them? And will three be a crowd? Alyne Hart writes with a passionate pen. Her characters always hold a lot of emotion and heart, and these are no exception. Gabe, Michael and Amie each have broken parts that need healing and together they seem to compliment each other. But when tragedy strikes, will their love survive? It's a story of love found and love lost, heartache and heartbreak, and Hart leaves us on a cliffhanger needing to know more! Have to queue up book 2 to see where this trio ends up!
Isabella Starr brings the three to life! She gives an amazing performance, from the emotional tugs of the trio to the jealous nastiness of the women on Kauai. She finds the best voices for each character and draws us into the Unexpected world of Amie, Gabe and Michael. Can't wait for more.

Good but long
I enjoyed the relationship and everything they built together. Unfortunately, I felt this audiobook could have been over in 2 hours. No idea why we needed so much story and background. The ending/cliffhanger was weird and unlike the character. Felt like it didn't belong/fit the character but added only for the storyline. I will probably listen to book 2 but wish it was abridged. The narrator was fantastic with the characters passion and life.

A menage romance in which our heroine is newly divorced and finding her footing again. She meets up with best friends that have been through a lot together. They all become roommates in Hawaii together and quickly the sexual tension builds.

Unexpected
Alyne Hart does a nice job of making the relationship seem realistic. I liked the characters and could identify with someone divorced in their mid-thirties, though I do wonder how Amy found two great guys when it seems challenging to find one. :) The story seemed to move slowly at times and it does end in a cliffhanger which you can see coming long before it happens.
Isabella Starr does a good job with the narration and speaks in more of a conversational voice, which I like. I think that especially with the length, that Unexpected would have benefitted from dual (or triple) narrators to make the POV more distinct as well as add some variation to the audio.

Riveting!
Unexpected immediately captured my attention, holding it through the end. It's a beautifully-written, well-plotted, engaging, romantic, sweet, and scorching hot Ménage romance; I thoroughly enjoyed it! Amie, newly divorced from a bad marriage, is in the process of finding herself again. Her self-discovery steers her to help rebuild a village in Hawaiʻi, where she meets two incredibly irresistible and contrasting men, Gabe and Michael. The way emotions, and desire and how developed were genuine, the dynamics between the trio was authentic, utterly passionate, radiating potency.
Superb narration by Isabella Starr, she captured the characters' personalities, emulating their emotions and the connection, bringing them to life. Unexpected is a fabulous Ménage (MFM) romance with wonderful characters and excellent narration. I highly recommend this audiobook!
