University of Morgana: Academy of Enchantments and Witchcraft

Kenzie Kavanagh exposed her father and brother's betrayal. So Mika is starting at the University of Morgana a semester late and praying to the Fates that she'll be able to catch up and graduate with her class. But as a witch with an undeclared specialty she's trying not to bring too much attention to herself.

Mika's first semester at Morgana hasn't been going well. She nearly killed the boy she likes, and found out she has a rare specialty that will put her life at risk if anyone finds out what it is. Not only is her basic magic still blocked, but she managed to stumble across a sacrificial killing in the forest. Finding out who killed the student and why is the only way she can keep her friends safe. Ethan, Lucien, Audrey, and a surprising addition agree to help her find out the killer and what they're up to.

Mika knew the Council of Paranormals would suspect her, which is why they assigned a raven to "guard" her. But there is a "we" behind the killer, and she has no idea if that they are still out there, or worse, still on the island of Morgana waiting for the right opportunity to strike again. With Malachi being distant, Ethan, Lucien, and Audrey have to work without her to follow the dangling strings, while Mika tries to win the assassin to her side. 

Back in San Francisco, Mika is working on bringing the Marshall greenhouse back to its full glory, despite her sister constantly breathing down her neck about the Matriarch ritual. Claire tries to force Mika's hand, but she refuses to give her sister the power to control her, or Audrey's life. To her sister's fury, Mika challenges Claire to the title of Matriarch. There hasn't been a witch challenge in centuries, and Mika isn't sure she is stronger - but it has to be worth the risk. But if one does not yield, both will die. Can Mika survive the challenge without exposing what she is?

Corbin is one of those elusive raven shifters and the best assassin in his flock. The Council of Paranormals assigned him to watch a 19 year old witch with orders to kill if need be, but the last thing he expected was to fall for his mark. Now that he knows who she is, what she is...will he follow orders or stray from the path? 

Mika Marshall is back at the University of Morgana. It is her first fall semester, her first homecoming and Samhain on Morgana’s Island. So much is the same her first day and yet...so much is different. She is no longer the girl who couldn’t do basic magic, but she’s losing control - she’s finding it difficult to rejoin the living after what she had to do to win the challenge. Claire refused to yield, and Mika had to take her life to stay alive.

Mika took the title of Head Witch with blood and told the world about a sub-class of witches they thought were long gone. Now she has to deal with the Angel of Death, the Council, and somehow keep everyone she loves safe while they prepare for a potential war. Where it will come from though, that's the real question. Can Mika use her new powers to keep everyone safe, or will Death finally find her?

The Angel of Death wants his Death Knight, and he will do anything to get her. Azrael has taken Audrey, and Mika has to find a way to save her sister without endangering everyone she's sworn to protect. Too many people she thought she trusted are keeping secrets from her while the Angel of Death keeps sending his legions to test her strength and abilities.
