the Narrators saved this book! Not a lot happened until the last 10minutes and there weren't any big developments during the storyline. The only thing that kept me persevering was how talented the Narrators were and they are the only reason I'm willing to give the 2nd book a go (once it's released)

So Paisley is from a big family of witches, she has bloomed but hasn’t found her affinity.
Something happened when she was 4 and it resulted in the death of a friend's mother, the friend who is now a spellcaster joins the college at the same time as Paisley.
Paisley is plagued by monsters and Logan (the friend) helps defeat hem. Though the whole time Paisley isn't sure whether is really friend or foe.
in this book it feels like the set up for the next book, Paisley finds her powers and it appears that she is also a spellcaster, (but I think she has all powers) anyway in the last few minutes of this book it seems that she may be a demon witch - which they didn't explain only that Logan will come for her in a month and she's going to learn more at home with her mum.
Narration was very good. 😊
