Since that time, they’ve joined together to form a fearsome magical quartet. The plan was to stand with one another. Now that plan is being put to the test. While out morel hunting with her brother, daughter, and nephews, Ivy stumbles across a body, a ritual dagger causing her to fear they’re dealing with something more dangerous than a normal human. Right away, she calls for reinforcements from her magical friends…and they come running.

When Rowan’s friends Sally and Demarcus arrive on their new purchase, a vintage steamboat they want to refurbish so they can turn it into a floating restaurant and casino, Rowan and her husband, Quinn, are thrilled to reunite with them. That only lasts until their daughter, Lana, asks about the invisible children on the boat. It seems there are a lot of them, and they just might be dead.

Maddie Graves-Winters is looking forward to a week of relaxation with her best friends. She had no idea a camping trip would be so stressful, however. She might have been picturing s’mores and ghost stories around the campfire, but the world has other plans.

Ava Moffett returns to town just in time to be swept up in the death of a local woman, who had no ties to the area before recently taking over the hardware shop with her husband. Poison is the cause of death, but who doled it out?

When her daughter Poe starts talking about a new ghostly friend nobody else can see, one who brags about hiding from Harper, Whisper Cove’s favorite paranormal investigator is on the case.

A day at the beach turns into potential tragedy when Quinn and Rowan Gray-Davenport witness a boat going down in the cove. A quick swim helps them save a father, twin girls, and a set of pouty grandparents, but then things take a turn. Rowan’s daughter Lana shows the family photos of the rescue later, and everybody they just saved has a death omen hanging over them. Save for one person, the grandmother. That means that death isn’t done with the family, and it’s up to Rowan and her merry band of paranormal hunters to find the answers necessary to save everybody involved.

When a young girl goes missing on the way to her bus, Maddie Graves-Winters goes searching and finds the sort of mystery she never wanted to uncover. The girl, crying and shaking and talking about a monster, is okay when Maddie finds her. What they discover with the girl isn’t, however. When Maddie and her husband Nick were in high school, three teenagers went missing. Everybody assumed they fled to Detroit for some fun and never came back, but it turns out, they never left Blackstone Bay.

Life in Shadow Lake has been quiet for months. The most interesting thing Ivy Morgan-Harker has seen in that time is two women fighting over the same man. All of that changes when the man in question ends up dead in his girlfriend’s driveway. Just who did the deed, though? Ivy thinks this case is one that can be chalked up to human weakness right up until the dead man’s soul is eaten by a shadow and magic explodes in the northern Lower Michigan hamlet. It seems the town lothario’s death might be more than it appears.

It’s Halloween in Whisper Cove. To Harper Harlow-Monroe that means candy, parties, and costumes to celebrate her favorite holiday of the year. That’s what she’s expecting anyway. What she gets is the exact opposite. When her husband Detective Jared Monroe calls to tell her there’s a ghost on County Line Bridge throwing items at passing cars and causing accidents, Harper is hoping for a quick takedown but that’s not what she gets. The ghost isn’t just hanging out on the bridge because she’s bored. No, Whisper Cove’s former librarian is protecting a body. Nobody knows how the teenager got there.
