In this world, where academic success could literally mean the difference between life and death, many students develop emotional baggage. Fortunately for Alexa, she does not suffer from the problems that plague most of her peers. Gifted with an intelligent mind to start, she realized early on that applying herself to both her academic and sports competitions was the number one way to succeed in this world. How can she do it? Shuffle studying, school work, and sports practice, all while being a teenager? The answer is simple: she has no emotions.

Constantly battling between the person she has always been and the person she wishes to be, all while being forced to walk a far more treacherous path than anyone has ever had to stride before to become a hero.

Alexa has come a long way in her journey to awakening as a super while also getting caught in all of the political intrigue that follows. Immediately, Alexa finds herself drawn into the evil plans of a mad Countess who, at one point, turned her back on her own daughter, only to return now with a vengeance. Alexa is forced to choose between saving the life of her brother and rupturing the family bonds of her now-best friend. From there, things grow only worse.

Awakening, the ultimate achievement, the number one way to ensure a successful future. Alexa was close to achieving this ultimate goal only to realize how unimportant these goals were, without being able to share them with those she truly loves. As her opportunity arises, external factors change everything, taking away that which Alexa holds dear. Now, in her moment of deepest sorrow, she must rise up once more, protecting the world from multiple enemies all hiding in plain sight. There will be a reckoning, and her name is Alexa Thyme.
