Three years have passed for Ginsi, aka 'Uuba Fett.' During those three years, she has trained non-stop under Morgan's relentless direction, regaining some semblance of her former self. The Jaegers are pushing deep into Star Force territory on an exploratory mission, bypassing the V'kit'no'sat Grand Border. The only question is, how far will they get before the might of the Empire whittles down their planet-sized Baseship to the point where they can destroy it.

V'kit'no'sat and Star Force must unite for a special project in order to find a better way to fight the Hadarak. This is Book 54 in the Star Force Universe series. The series details the discovery of Earth’s true origins and how it was originally a colony of a galaxy-spanning dinosaur empire called the V’kit’no’sat.

Earth's naivety has come to an end. The Zak'de'ron take note of the Rit'ko'sor joining Star Force, making contact, and making their wishes known...but in the process, they make a critical mistake that will forever alter their relationship with the trailblazers.

As Paul's changes begin to unfold, secrets are revealed and Star Force's future takes a drastic turn.

Mak'to'ran travels to the Hjar'at with information regarding the altered Hadarak and the alliance of extremely advanced races that Star Force has amassed...only to find even more treachery amongst the very militant Stegosauruses.

The Hadarak's call for help does not go unanswered, and the Triad begins to realize just how futile a war against the galaxy's true rulers is.

Eldorat's attack and death in Itaru have affected the flow of galactic events in a way no one anticipated, and the fallout from that first contact is now crushing both the V'kit'no'sat and the Zak'de'ron. All the while, the Hadarak begin to encroach on their territory with little resistance.

The Paladin's quest to save the Andromeda galaxy begins to escalate as they seize a disputed planet from two obstinate lower level races who are blocking travel and commerce through it that other systems are depending upon to fuel the war effort against the Asferja. The thing is, after the Paladin uncork the traffic jam, they're not giving the planet back for the malcontents to muck up a second time...and that doesn't go over very well with the locals.

The invasion of the Milky Way has begun, and the Empire is winning easily, but when it becomes clear that the war with the Asferja will be nowhere near ending before the next invasion arrives and forces them to split their focus, Paul is tapped to lead a small team to the nearby galaxy of Andromeda where the Asferja intergalactic "threads" are tethered, with more being created as the war goes on.

The fracturing of the V'kit'no'sat Empire has now come to fruition, but the full-fledged civil war has not resulted. With the depth of experience and knowledge the dinosaur races have accumulated over the millennia, they know the destructive cost that such devastation would bring, and a conservative warfare methodology breaks out wherein the fighting is over territory while trying to spare lives and as much equipment as possible, so not to weaken the overall empire.

The universe is not predictable, no matter how much experience you gain. You may delude yourself into thinking so...until the universe educates you otherwise in dramatic fashion.

Gaining greater responsibilities, Mak'to'ran continues his push to reforge the V'kit'no'sat empire while uncovering yet another mystery of the past.
