Tarzan the Terrible, written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, is the eighth book in the Tarzan series. Edgar Rice Burroughs was an American author best known for his science fiction and fantasy novels. Burroughs created the characters of Tarzan and John Carter, as well as the fictional landmass in the Earth known as Pellucidar.

The Son of Tarzan is Edgar Rice Burroughs' fourth novel in the Tarzan series. First serialized between 1915 and 1916 in All-Story Weekly, it was published as a novel in 1917. Narrowly surviving his encounter with his enemy Tarzan in The Beasts of Tarzan, Alexis Paulvitch has a score to settle. He lures Tarzan's son Jack away from London and captures him, only to have Jack escape into the jungle that Tarzan once called home.

Jungle Tales of Tarzan is a collection of 12 loosely connected short stories written by Edgar Rice Burroughs about the title character, Tarzan.

Tarzan had renounced his right to the woman he loved, and civilization held no pleasure for him. After a brief and harrowing period among men, he turned back to the African jungle where he had grown to manhood. It was there he first heard of Opar, the city of gold, left over from fabled Atlantis. It was a city of hideous men - and of beautiful, savage women, over whom reigned La, high priestess of the Flaming God. Its altars were stained with the blood of many sacrifices. Unheeding of the dangers, Tarzan led a band of savage warriors toward the ancient crypts and the more ancient evil of Opar.

This is the fourth story in the Tarzan adventure novels. This time it is the son of Tarzan, the young Lord Greystoke, who leads us away from the sheltered shores of 19th century England, back to the primitive jungle. Young Lord Greystoke quickly asserts his natural authority in the jungle the way an heir-apparent might ascend a throne but not without a few painful lessons. Accepted by his fellow primates, they rename him, Korak “the killer.”

Just when Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, looks to be settled happily into family life with his wife, Jane, and their son, Jack, Tarzan’s arch-enemy, Nikolas Rokoff, kidnaps the infant boy. With his son’s life set to be forfeit to a tribe of African cannibals, Tarzan enlists the help of the beasts of the jungle to rescue his son.

A great safari comes to Africa to make a movie, struggling across the veldt and through the jungle in great ten-ton trucks, equipped with all the advantages of civilization. But now it is halted, almost destroyed by the poisoned arrows of the savage Bansuto tribe. There is no way to return. Ahead lies the strange valley of diamonds, where hairy gorillas live in their town of London on the Thames, ruled by King Henry the Eighth. And behind them comes Tarzan of the Apes with the Golden Lion, seeking the man who might have been his twin brother in looks—though hardly in courage!

The legendary Tarzan claims his birthright title as Lord Greystoke and starts a small family with Jane, now his wife. But just when things are going right, the evil Rokoff kidnaps Tarzan's infant son, Jack, luring Tarzan into a trap. After Rokoff exiles him on an island near the African coast, Tarzan uses his skills learned from the jungle to win the favor of various wild animals. Tarzan must enlist these creatures to help him track down Rokoff in order to save his family from certain demise.

In this second addition to Edgar Rice Burroughs' epic adventures of Tarzan, listeners will find the jungle man leaving America to visit old friends in Europe. Through spirals of action, disaster, and shipwreck, we find Tarzan and a group of travelers - including his first love, Jane; and his new archenemy, Rokoff - back in the jungle where he was raised. Encountering even more hardship in the harsh jungle, Tarzan again fights wild animals and savage tribes in the ultimate search for secret buried treasure.

The story of a young man who, although born of a woman, was left by a succession of untoward circumstances to be reared in an African jungle by a she-ape, the only mother he ever knew. Tarzan was drawn from the jungle by love for a young American girl whom chance threw in his way. Disappointment in love, in this volume, results in his return to the jungle where he has many strange adventures and whence he is again led forth by love, this time happy love.

Having been unsuccessful hunting, Tarzan robs the native village of some rotten elephant meat, which he eats. Becoming ill from the tainted meal, he has a horrible nightmare, in which he dreams himself menaced by a lion, an eagle, and huge snake with the head of a village native. He is carried off by a giant bird but wakes in the fall from its grasp, finding himself back in the tree where he'd gone to sleep. He realizes the incidents were not real. Subsequently attacked by a gorilla, he assumes that this too is a product of his fevered imagination, until actually wounded and hurt.

Tarzan's beloved mate, Jane, has been kidnapped, and the furious ape-man will let nothing stand in the way of rescuing her - not even a sinister safari whose target is Tarzan himself. With fierce Masai trackers leading the chase, a trio of white hunters are hellbent on capturing the Jungle Lord. But as the pursuers, and their uncanny half-human tracker, close in from behind, Tarzan races toward even greater danger ahead.
