  • #5: Pivoting From a Brick and Mortar to a Successful Online Coaching Program With James Cummins

    In this episode, I'm talking with James Cummins. He's been an entrepreneur for the last 15 years, is a gym owner with a brick and mortar business, and is a certified Life Coach with a special focus on Coaching Mental Resilience to Men who want to achieve more, especially in business.

    He fell in love with the techniques he teaches other men when he experienced them first hand and they literally saved him from burnout, anxiety, and depression at a period when he was pushing really hard to grow his brick and mortar business. Not only did the techniques he learned help him and his business grow to a whole new level, but he also saw improvements in his health and relationships. Those techniques are the foundation of what he teaches every man he coaches.

    Although James has been a business owner for many years and is quite savvy when it comes to marketing, he was branching out and starting a new online business, and coaching in the online space was something new for him.

    He's actually my client and we worked one-on-one together to plan the launch of his online business and first online coaching program.

    During this episode, you'll hear how he started with no audience at all and was able to attract 400 ideal leads in less than one month.

    Our conversation together took place toward the beginning of the pandemic, and you'll hear how James feels that because he now has a repeat launch process and the tools and skills that he needs to reach others, he feels empowered as a business owner and has been able to view 2020 as a time of opportunity, as opposed to feeling stuck and powerless.

  • #3: A One Product Business Can Be Successful, Here's Proof

    In this episode, I'm talking with Rebecca Tracey from The Uncaged Life.  She works with new coaches and other solopreneurs on the foundations of their business with things like messaging, finding their niche, market research, creating their packages, and learning how to market what they do.

    She's been launching her program, Uncage Your Business, since get this ... 2014!!  

    It's a 5-week live program priced at $1697. Her launches typically bring in $150-200k in revenue and she usually welcomes around 100 people into the program each round.

    Rebecca usually launches her program twice a year, and her first launch in 2020 coincided right at the beginning of the global coronavirus pandemic. 

    She wasn't quite sure if she should go ahead with the launch since there was so much uncertainty at the time, but she decided those who were looking to start their online business needed her at that time more than ever. You'll hear how she ended up having a really successful launch.  

    During this episode, you'll hear how Rebecca:
    - actually has three different ways to market one program
    - brings in sales in between live launching her group program twice a year
    - pulled back some and simplified because of the pandemic but still welcomed 91 people into her program

    Today I'm talking with Lora Grabow. She is a weight loss counselor and coach. She's worked in the weight loss industry for the last 17 years and her mission is to help people struggling with losing weight and keeping it off discover what's been missing from their weight loss journey.

    After coaching and teaching in person for years, she decided to create an online course so that she could get her message out and reach more people to give them the missing piece to their weight loss journey ... really moving from them from "how do I lose weight?" to "why do I eat?"

    Lora is actually a client of mine and we worked together to plan the initial strategy for the launch of her course, Foundations in Headwork for Healthy Weight Loss.

    Since she was bringing her business online at the same time she was launching her online course, it was amazing to see everything come together ... like a new website, starting and growing an email list, growing a social media following.

    During this conversation, you'll hear how Lora had a whopping 24.8% conversion rate with her first online course launch, then did a second launch right on the heels of her first launch with a slightly different strategy that offered a downsell option.

    During this episode, you'll hear how Lora:
    - used a 5-day challenge and a pop-up Facebook group as her launch strategy
    - created an emotional eating quiz to grow her email list and lead people to her launch event
