• The One Nature Habit That Changes How You See Everything
    May 21 2026

Thanks for connecting to nature with me on another episode of The Forest Connection!

What if the most powerful way to connect with nature wasn’t hiking farther… but simply sitting still?

In this episode, I explore the practice of the sit spot—a simple but transformative way to deepen your awareness, sharpen your observation skills, and build a real relationship with the natural world.

I break down what a sit spot actually is, where the idea comes from, and why this practice has been used by naturalists, trackers, and nature educators for generations.

I also walk you through how to choose your own sit spot, what to do once you’re there (hint: less than you think), and how returning to the same place over time can completely change what you notice—and how you feel.

    This isn’t about doing more.
    It’s about noticing more.

By the end of the episode, you’ll have everything you need to start your own sit spot practice—and I’ll challenge you to try it for yourself this week.

Because when you sit long enough…

…the wild doesn’t just surround you.
    It starts to recognize you.

  • Quiet The Noise Guided Meditation
    May 14 2026
Thanks for connecting to nature with me on another episode of The Forest Connection! In this episode, I guide you into a quieter space—away from the constant hum of opinions, expectations, and distractions that seem to follow us everywhere. The world can feel loud in ways that go far beyond sound, and over time, that noise can settle into our thoughts, our bodies, and our sense of peace. This guided meditation is an opportunity to gently step out of that storm.Together, we’ll begin by slowing the breath and creating distance from the mental clutter that builds throughout the day. You’ll be guided into a calm, natural setting where the noise begins to fade—replaced by subtle, grounding sounds and a deep sense of stillness. From there, we’ll work on releasing tension, quieting the mind, and reconnecting with what feels steady and true beneath it all.In this meditation, we’ll explore:Letting go of mental overwhelm and external pressureCreating space between you and intrusive thoughtsGrounding through breath and sensory awarenessReconnecting with inner calm and clarityBuilding a sense of emotional balance and resilienceThis meditation is especially helpful during times when the outside world feels overwhelming or when your thoughts won’t seem to slow down. It’s a chance to reset your internal environment—to turn down the volume and return to a place of quiet strength.Find a comfortable position, free from distractions. Whether you’re sitting, lying down, or even outside in nature, allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment. There’s nothing you need to solve right now—just space to breathe and be.The noise will still be there later. But for now, you don’t have to carry it.If this meditation helped you find a moment of calm, consider sharing it with someone who might need the same. Your support helps this space grow and reach others looking to reconnect.Stay grounded, stay present, and as always… keep wandering.Support the podcast and other Nature Wanderer projects: Donate here: ko-fi.com/theforestconnection Nature journals and books by The Nature Wanderer: Amazon Author Page Nature Wanderer merch: naturewanderer.org/merchNature Exploring storefront: Amazon StorefrontThe Nature Wanderer ClassesLet’s stay connected! • This Is Your Permission to Step Back
    May 7 2026
Thanks for connecting to nature with me on another episode of The Forest Connection! n this episode, I talk about something I think a lot of us are feeling right now… even if we don’t always have the words for it.The world has gotten loud. Not just in volume, but in urgency. It feels like everything is demanding our attention, pulling at our energy, and asking us to react… all the time. And over time, that kind of constant input starts to wear on us. Mentally. Emotionally. Even physically. This isn’t about politics. It’s about what all of that noise is doing to us as people. In this episode, I explore why our brains and nervous systems struggle with the constant flood of information, and why feeling overwhelmed right now is actually a very natural response.More importantly, I talk about something we don’t hear enough:You don’t have to carry all of it.I share simple ways to step back without disconnecting completely… ways to create space, protect your energy, and reconnect with something quieter and more grounded. And as always, I come back to nature.Because out there, beyond the noise, there’s still a world that doesn’t demand anything from you. A world that moves at a different pace. One that reminds you what it feels like to breathe again. Why constant input leads to overwhelmThe illusion of urgency and how it affects usThe difference between being informed and being consumedWhy stepping back is not apathyHow nature helps reset your mind and bodyYou don’t need to engage with everything. You don’t need to respond to everything. And you don’t need to stay in the noise longer than your mind can handle.Stepping away isn’t giving up.Sometimes, it’s the most grounded thing you can do.Support the podcast and other Nature Wanderer projects: Donate here: ko-fi.com/theforestconnection Nature journals and books by The Nature Wanderer: Amazon Author Page Nature Wanderer merch: naturewanderer.org/merchNature Exploring storefront: Amazon StorefrontThe Nature Wanderer ClassesLet’s stay connected! • By the Stream: A Guided Listening Meditation with Flowing Water
    Apr 16 2026

    THE FOREST CONNECTION

Thanks for connecting to nature with me on another episode of The Forest Connection!

In this guided meditation, I invite you to rest beside a quiet forest stream and let the sound of flowing water become your anchor.

Water has a way of holding attention without demanding it. As the stream moves over stones and around roots, your breath begins to slow, your body softens, and the mind is given permission to loosen its grip.

This is a guided listening meditation, which means there is nothing to visualize perfectly and nothing to accomplish. You are simply invited to listen. To let thoughts drift like leaves on the surface of the water, carried gently out of view.

As the meditation unfolds, the guidance gradually steps back, allowing the natural rhythm of the stream to take the lead. Whether you are seeking calm, grounding, or a quiet place to rest, this time by the water offers a steady presence you can return to again and again.

Find a comfortable place, settle in, and let the stream do the rest

  • Healing Frequencies: Science, Myth, and the Sounds That Calm Us
    Apr 9 2026

Thanks for connecting to nature with me on another episode of The Forest Connection!

In this episode, I explore something I keep seeing everywhere lately…
    healing frequencies.

You’ve probably come across them too.
432 Hz, 528 Hz, 777 Hz, even 1111 Hz… each one claiming to calm the mind, heal the body, or awaken something deeper within us.

But is there really a single frequency that can do all of that?

In this episode, I take a closer look at the science behind sound and the nervous system, including concepts like Brainwave Entrainment and Binaural Beats, and compare them to popular ideas like the Solfeggio Frequencies.

Along the way, I also explore something that feels just as important…

why natural soundscapes—wind through the trees, birdsong, flowing water—seem to calm us so deeply.

Because maybe the answer isn’t found in a single tone or number.

Maybe it’s found in the layered, living soundscape we’ve been connected to all along.

This episode is a blend of science, curiosity, and reflection…
an invitation to listen a little more closely…
and maybe rethink what “healing sound” really means.

  • The Forest Within Guided Meditation
    Apr 2 2026

    THE FOREST CONNECTION

Thanks for connecting to nature with me on another episode of The Forest Connection!

In this guided meditation, I invite you to step into a forest that exists both around you and within you.

This practice is about slowing down and reconnecting with a sense of steadiness that’s already present beneath the noise of everyday life. As you walk through the forest and arrive at a quiet clearing, you’re guided to rest, breathe, and reconnect with your own inner landscape.

The imagery in this meditation mirrors the natural rhythms of a living forest: grounding roots, patient growth, and the quiet strength that comes from simply being. There’s no need to visualize anything perfectly and nothing to achieve. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace and let the experience unfold naturally.

This meditation can be used anytime you’re seeking calm, clarity, or a deeper sense of connection to yourself and the natural world.

Find a comfortable place, settle in, and step into the forest within.
