• Thinking About Thinking Can Lead To An Evolution In Thinking!
    May 20 2026

If you learn how to do something new and you do it every day, what often happens? The short version is that you just get better at it. A longer version? You do the thing with enough skill to be competent, then further analyze your process and what you do and you can become faster, or you can increase the value of your work by adding new things of value to the process that go beyond what you've learned, or you can approach the thing differently from how you were originally taught. There are lots of things that happen when you repeatedly do something, but then, what happens if you stop doing some things after, say, a year? It tends to get fuzzy or things get forgotten if you don't do them much and you don't think about them.

What if you tend to approach every problem the same way and you are getting mixed results? What if you start to think about how that could affect your output and your input? Now, you are thinking about the way you think...bravo! Because of how varied situations can be, thinking about how you think can not only broaden your perspectives and train your brain to not only think in ways that can be hugely beneficial across a broader range of scenarios, but it is great at changing one's mindset to better adapt in work and life situations. What do you think about that, eh!? I find the topic fascinating, so listen to me ramble about it!

  • Let’s Talk About Capacity: The Missing Link Related To Motivation And Burnout!
    Jan 21 2026

People often talk about ways we can stay motivated and people also discuss burnout, and it is great to discuss both of those things, and the different strategies people can use to stay motivated, but have you felt like some of the advice hasn't quite "clicked" with you? It is entirely possible that you are missing a key piece of the puzzle and it is throwing off your ability to maintain motivation for extended periods of time, and the key piece may help you find inspiration easier, as well as help you understand how and why you may experience burnout...that key piece is what I see as "capacity". Capacity, in a general sense, is how much we can endure, at minimum and at maximum, and it fluctuates a lot, but through understanding our own capacity to take on things, physically and mentally, we can fine-tune our performance to get the most out of our best days and our worst days. Listen to get an earful about capacity!

  • Happy New Year: The Worst of Times, The Best of Times!
    Jan 2 2026

Happy New Year! Last year was a very trying time for many people, but also, there were people who undoubtedly had their best year ever. Whether people are dealing with things like the recession, difficulties with gaining employment, and a laundry list of other things, there are always people who found a great opportunity, reunited with lost friends, people who found love...so this episode discusses some of the contrast between the worst of times and the best of times, throughout the years in our lives.

  • Attitude Is One Of The Best (Or Worst) Accessories You Always Have On You Every Day!
    Dec 9 2025

They (whoever "they" happen to be) often say that our outlook on life is very important, and I agree: Who we meet, how they interpret our words and our actions, and the bonds we make or break, among many other things, come from one's general attitude on life. It's hard to be happy-go-lucky person all day, every day, and thankfully, we do not have to be. One of greatest things about our attitude is that it is something that we can control, for what it is worth, and our attitude affects so many things, like how we approach growth and development, connections, networking, work, play, the list goes on and on! If you are experiencing life roadblocks, sometimes, all you need to do is change your attitude about whatever the "thing" is, to help you proceed in the right direction. Listen to hear about one of the finest (or worst) things you have with you --- your attitude!

  • A Lens On Healing And The Unhealed!
    Nov 25 2025

We often talk about physical healing...going to a doctor if we are sick, getting an x-ray to make sure we didn’t break anything, getting vaccinated, so on and so forth, which isn’t a bad thing...but I feel discussions about therapy and working through trauma, while they certainly exist, pale in comparison to the fixation with our physical condition and/or physical appearances. This episode will discuss some of my thoughts about healing, the importance of working through things like psychological trauma, our state of mind (generally), and the challenges of healing from things one may not even share.

  • A Personal Experience: A Wonderful Leader Named James!
    Nov 18 2025

In today's episode, I wanted to share a personal experience I had with a leader I have known for years! These sorts of stories will focus on discussing the things that leaders do that make them great leaders, as well as discuss the things that not-so-great leaders are doing or have done. We can learn from the good examples that people are setting, as well as things we should actively try to avoid!

  • Kindness And Enabling: Good Intentions Don’t Always Lead To Good Actions!
    Nov 12 2025

Where do we draw the lines between being kind, being really, really kind, and then enabling people? I thought this would be good for a short episode because really, a lot of it is going to depend on our own individual situations and circumstances! This episode, minus the closing statements, was completely unscripted (no rough draft notes or anything!) and it came out fine! Due to time constraints and stuff happening at home, I created this episode simply based on an idea I wanted to discuss, and I have lots of other ideas and the like I want to discuss on future episodes. When looking at kindness and enabling, it helps to look at patterns and the episode discusses things in more detail.
