Mclaren Really needed a strong result at an unusually dated British GP (Mainly because of Easter being later than usual and it was hard to get other venues to change their dates for various reasons).

Schumi was on a role, but both he & Mika know exactly how quick fortunes can change in F1.

After a strong start for Ferrari, could they continue at a track where Mclaren & especially Mika Hakkinen has been so dominant the last few years?

David Coulthard was Disqualified after the race due to an illegal front wing endplate. McLaren submitted an appeal with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile's International Court of Appeal, which was denied. The disqualification moved every driver behind Coulthard forward by a single position.
