Then the draft finally arrived and let’s just say the Sharks are probably going to be the best team with the greatest roster of all time following this draft. But the Avs were not quiet either, picking up a tied record 9 picks in the 7 round format. Then FREE AGENCY! And boy was it a frenzy as people say. Sure the class was “lackluster” but that didn’t stop big money being handed out lengthy contracts being signed and the Avalanche and Sharks were in the midst of it all. The journey for the Colorado Avalanche is over. The quest for the cup has once again been cut short. It is truly the hardest day as a sports fan to watch your team fall.
