Turns out we DID need an episode last week. So if you missed that go back and check out all the action that happened BEFORE the draft. Because this week we're talking about everything that happened during and after. (And actually a little more before too because timing). Right after last week the Avalanche made their final cap shedding move and then signed some critical defensive extensions. Then the draft finally arrived and let’s just say the Sharks are probably going to be the best team with the greatest roster of all time following this draft. But the Avs were not quiet either, picking up a tied record 9 picks in the 7 round format. Then FREE AGENCY! And boy was it a frenzy as people say. Sure the class was “lackluster” but that didn’t stop big money being handed out lengthy contracts being signed and the Avalanche and Sharks were in the midst of it all. Strap in because we have a lot to talk about and not a lot of time to do it on this week's episode of the Captain Avalanche Fancast.
