When you celebrate a birthday or the new year starts, do you like to do a year ahead reading?

Year ahead readings were all the rage for a while. Heck, maybe they still are. And while I used to be more into them, I've backed away a bit. I'll share why, and the reading I did for myself instead for my birthday.

I used to believe that how you worded the question you asked the cards was the most important thing. But after years of pull cards, and thousands of readings done, I've... changed my mind.

How often do you pay attention to symbols? The ones you see repeating in the world around you, in the cards, or in dreams?

What is your relationship like with trust? How easily do you trust yourself, other people, and the universe?

Until I did this episode, I don't even think I realized how often the theme of trust pops up in the cards - but it makes sense. We need trust in our lives: it helps us feel safe, and confident in who we are, and what we're doing.
