As someone that had a similar PhD journey I found this book quiet tedious. There are so many parts where the author is a sanctimonious pompous arse that it was really hard to not switch off. And to be fair at the end of the book she walked out of the lab not looking in too bad shape. Two first author papers, a conference award, a nice viva and miniscule corrections. I take it any day.
