About this listen
Aric’s job is simple; assist the elves as they moved dragon eggs across the kingdom.
When an orc raid leaves a dragon in peril and her egg vulnerable, the responsibility falls into Aric’s hands to complete the mission. But when the dragon hatches, Aric’s life is thrown into disarray.
Accused of being the world breaker of an old prophecy by the elves, sought after by the ever-growing orc clans as vengeance against the elves, and desired by the human kings and queens for power, Aric will stop at nothing to protect his new dragon. It may be the only thing that can turn the tides of the war.
Can Aric fight fate and save the world, or is he destined by the whispers of a world breaker?

I’m invested and desperately want to find out what happens next as although the book ends it can’t be ‘the end’ of the tale.
Well written - I need more.

Also the main characters have a complex relationship that becomes more mentorship with Francil, and friendships with the protagonists not being who is originally supposed to be who it seems, due lies hidden behind history, legends and myths.
A friendship between two lead characters start as a friendship that ends with a shock, and a new bond begins between Aric and his Dragon Eldras and they’re not sure which direction to take due a request by the elves, but due to Aric’s bond with Eldras that direction changes in a shocking way.
Moro started this tale as a friend who grew up with Aric, but a divergence takes a shuddering charge as he becomes a prisoner of the Orcs, who proceed with a direction that slims the prisoners ranks, leaving only those chosen by the Orcs, who take him to their City to take more trials.
Francil has kept secrets, but they come to light in the days ahead, when Aric and Eldras arrive in Verransmere.
Moro has changed his life ahead and become a blood changer.
Before it all goes sideways for everyone.
A truly amazing book, and remarkable story that progresses in many ways, and complex directions, but where it takes us who can say what will happen in future books still to come.
Magnificent and beautiful starting point
