only short but perfect for anyone who has read book one and wants a bit more info on Janes origin and how she found out who she is. It's also free on audible so why not give it a go.

perfect little origin tale

The story isn't one that will stick in my memory, but then only a few fall into that category.

It was, nonetheless, exciting in its own unique way, with the rather charming characters quickly engaging this listener at least, and it was impeccably read ɓy the narrator.

Indeed I find it unbelievable that anyone might find the latter's voice lacking in expression, poorly timed when subtle mood changes needed to be indicated etc.

The only reason I withheld a fifth star is that I felt the author was a little unsure right to the last sentence whether she was writing for the young adult category of listeners or the indisputable adult category.

Very well narrated, with relatable main character.
